Is it possible to suggest to those bands who are decent enough to turn out for a second set in the early hours that they consider doing something a bit different, let their hair down a bit and have a laugh?

Last year most bands just seemed to play pretty much the same set as their Garden/Big Top appearances. In some cases, this worked well and gave people a second chance to see some of the most exciting 'new bands' in a more intense, in your face, environment - I would say Motel Motel and The Duke & The King benefited considerably from this. However, I missed the fun aspect of the previous year, with 'The Modern Ovens', Young Republic and Woodpigeon taking the opportunity to play loads of cover versions and have a bit of a party. Personally, I'd like a bit more of that.

Couldn't agree more. As much as I enjoyed two Brakes sets in reasonably quick succession, something a little different would be very special.
