Nearest LARGE supermarket to Bristol Bus Station

I was just wondering what the closest big supermarket to the bus station was? I know there's a small Tesco across the road but I was hoping to find one of the large superstores. Doesn't have to be Tesco. Thanks for any help/advice :D

I have one of the combined coach/festival tickets so I'll be getting the organised coach to the site. I have about 6 hours to kill in Bristol so it gives me plenty of time to go to one of the larger ones. I have used the Tesco across the road in the past, but its usually pretty empty and alcohol selection isn't the best.

Which is about right as far as I am aware. I have friends in Brizzle and they have mentioned the mission it is to get out to the large Toscos slightly out of town.

Asdas the closest, but thats way too much of a mission. Spesh if your carring booze for a week with you! 2 miles sounds about right for it :P

Theres a kinda medium size tesco though pretty nearby, not the one across the road but still only about 5/10mins walk just in the centre of town. Its next door to M&S, prolly easiest to search for that on google maps and just go there given theres loads of tescos about. That one has all the deals on booze that happen and a food selection thats close enough to a massive supermarket with the same prices so is probabily the best bet.

Unless you want to buy a tent or something weird that is.. Then I guess grabbing a local bus to the big asda might be the best bet.

To be honest, if you're just after food and booze, then I reckon the slightly larger Tesco in Broadmead should sort you out fine. It's really only a couple of minutes walk from the bus station, and, whilst it doesn't do clothes, garden accessories or whatever, it does much more than your average tesco express.

It's this one - http://www.tesco.com/storelocator/access/d...ID=2129&l=B and you can see how close it is to the bus station here
