East Car Park

Logistically it makes sense for us to arrive into the East carpark (coming from Bath), but it seems a bit pointless.

-From the carpark there is acres of campervan fields to negotiate before getting to a pedestrian gate.

-Is the hill of death just the campervan route or most of the people using the East side?

-Camping options on arrival are excellent but very very popular, and very very limited.

-Most likely to find a camping spot more suitably accessed from the West.

Have I got these points right? Last year I arrived on a bus from Castle Carey, ended up camping a bit further out in Dairy Grounds which was fine, but so much further to get to from East carparks and we'd better be certain of just needing one trip.

What are people who use the East's opinions? And with re-allocations of some prime eastern camping areas are there any plans for change of approach?

Is it possible to manipulate which pedestrian gate you use? For east can you request to be in a northern carpark to access PGB, or is it just up to you whether you want a self-imposed long hike around the outside of the festival?
