Paul ™
In 2 minds about this.. Yeah could be to increase sales, but most likey to make aware of the event and local area if it is being ran alongside Event Scotland who do put a lot of money into various events.I'd be pissed off though if I was travelling from one of those places and had paid for coach travel

Jim King
guysi thought id jump on this quickly.this info is not correct and there is not free travel for the UK at all.event scotland are behind a program as part of their international events program (which rock ness features) to promote ways to get non scots to come to Scotland.the incentive that is out there for rock ness is that coach travel is on the inside of the ticket price from a few selected cities outside of scotland.I'm getting this changed immediately so sorry for the confusion.jim

Disco_Fudge
whilst I can't argue that its a bloody good offer for the folks down in en-ger-lund, its has to be said that event scotland haven't gone about this in the best way. My point being that if they want more non-scots to be coming offering free transport to a festival hundreds of miles away with less than 2 weeks notice probably isn't going to get that many takers. I may be wrong but who decides to go to a festival on a whim and give up 3-4 days of work, looking after kids, Uni etc etc with this notice this short?
