lau_roar
Hi, Apologies if this has been posted before I did a quick search but the threads were all 2 years old...I'm going to be litter picking with a friend and we're aiming to get there on Thursday afternoon. I was wondering how large the area is that volunteers camp in? I'm worried we won't find a decent spot as at other festivals I've been to we had to get there really early to find somewhere good to camp. I've already booked my train tickets now but am considering amending it to an earlier time so we can get to camp more in advance...can anyone who has done this before shed some light? Would you suggest getting there earlier? (We should be there by about 2.30pm).Also, how sociable is it with volunteers? Thanks
crow
The area is plenty big enough, done litter picking myself a few times, and it's not bad (but doing the bin vans is far easier work, see if you can swap onto that!)Plenty of really spaced out camping, much much nicer than camping with everyone else - plus everyone is quiet at night, as they are prob working, so always get a good nights sleep! And there are nice toilets and showers. But yes, don't worry, should be fine. Just check with Fiona that you are OK to arrive then, some of the sessions need you to be there for an induction thursday morning.
