Yeah, I guess when it gets to Saturday morning and there are still folk arriving and red and yellow are full they will have no choice but to open up purple for us commoners. Haha

and in another post with pictures it says fence up around front row campers, does this mean there will be a fence seperating the front row from the stalls, all seems a bit prison like to me!

I think its a simple as this, we arrive at the box office with the early bird ticket and we demand to have a front row wrist band as this is stipulated in the ticket arrangements, otherwise we demand to see the manager or we can boycott the event, but I want to see Aphex and Leftfield. We are entitled to this front row wristband because we were told if you buy the ticket early that you could camp in the front row. I will be in regular camping but will probably want to check out the front row at some point.

Can they not just tell the security guys that people with tickets with EB on them (like myself) are allowed into front row?

Surely the fact it says EB and not Front Row shouldn't confuse anyone THAT much that we need to swap our "EB" tickets for "Front Row" tickets???

I will also add to the fact that even as I have Front Row tickets, I also won't be camping there due to 1 person in my group not having a Front Row ticket!

EDIT: Also, When my tickets arrived I assumed that "EB" was all I would need to show to get Front Row admittance, luckily I'm on here and saw this thread... How many people won't see it! Hopefully they will make posters and pin them up to make it clear an exchange needs to take place.

mine says front row.

it's totally gonna be everyone who bought it before the front row thing was announced. it wasn't there for a while remember.

This is such a crap situation. I'll be camping in yellow along with the common camp, but what a pest having to queue to get in, then queue to change your ticket!

Fingers crossed that next year the get rid of Front Row Camping. What a mess.

I feel for the security in charge of Front Row, there are definitely going to be some arguements at the entrance!

Yeah, I think its goign to be a shambles and purple will be half empty with everyone else in yellow squashed which is really unfair.

Also the barriers round purple? Seems like a prison to me, does that mean that there will be barriers between purple and the stalls?

I am an actual twat!

Just realised it was a joke and there are not barriers going up round purple.

Oh well, still think its unfair that everyones gonna be squashed, i'm getting there hopefully at a good time so shoudlnt be a problem.

How well do people really think this 'front row' thing is going to be managed? We had a tent in tangerine fields last year (part of the VIP area) and half a dozen of our friends with normal camping bands spent their time at our tent without once being challenged by the security on the gate. Our bands were never checked and neither were friends who were staying in VIP or those with resident passes.

Thing is, once people are in and camped up, what's the harm in them entering the purple section if they want to drink with mates or that? Its not like its VIP where thrs supposedly better toilets or whatever, its just that we get the benefit of being camped closer. So I wonder if anyone will be allowed in later on once everyone is camped?

yet another error or lack of information. hardly the first.

this festival officially couldnt organise a piss up in a brewery!!

i may have to sort out this problem AFTER i have already had to queue for a ticket that i dont even have in my hand becuase the festival cant be arsed to get the tickets to all the agents in good time.

i have early bird but god knows if i will even get a ticket and god knows if this will say front row on it.

there are blantantly going to be loads of queues and tons of punters and stewards who dont know who is supposed to be where.

what a mess. they should have kept it simple.

if there's a massive queue at the box office i might just camp in general.

Christ, you would think someone stole your crimbo pressies.

The whole thing was set up to reward people who ordered their tickets early, the man takes time out of his busy schedule to answer questions on here ( some stupid ones included i might add)

And because someone has made a boo boo everyones greeting about waiting in a cue, well boo hoo....

If you cant be arsed then camp council like the majority of people.

Look at the questions for jim king thread and the amount of time he spent on here trying to please you lot then tell me honestly if you think he did this on purpose.

Apologise to the man!!!!

Sounds like a complete f**k up from the promoters.

Jim, if you read this can you PM me your mobile number so if I have any hassle in exchanging tickets/queuing/debating with your box office staff for any longer than need be, then I can call you? ;)

Why not just brief the box office/stewards at wristband exchange that any tickets that have EB on it are given a Front Row wristband... it's not rocket science

what about all the people who bought early birds and don't read these forums?

they will get to the gates, only to be sent back to the box office to exchange their tickets if they want front row.

not even a mention of this on the website.

and we only found out about this because we asked.. wonder if they would have bothered telling us about this. i doubt it.

I think its pretty bad that they havent advertised this on the website. I think the only other concern is that what if you have some chums in purple, is it banned from going in to see them or what? And i do wonder about the fact that purple will be totally empty and people CRAMMMMMEd into everywhere else.

Ridiculous. and like all you guys have said its a shame because i think its great that jim king comes on and answers the questions just a shame that this wasnt taken on board as there have been threads about this for months.

Surely the solution is simple. It shouldn't matter wheter it says "front row" on the ticket or not. Just look at the price - If it says £100 then they issue you with a "front row" band....

hi paul

i dont think its going to be a disaster and from what ive seen there arent that many people complaining.

we launched the early bird at £100 which was a lower price offer ticket.

we then launched the front row ticket for £120 which was to get you a guaranteed camping spot in purple.

it was never the original intention for the EB tickets to get into FR.

when asked on this forum about it i said that if EB want to go into FR then they can as i didnt want to penalise EB people.

all we are asking is that those wanting to do this (which isnt that many as lots of people prefer to stay in yellow or in quiet camping in red anyway) is to exchange the ticket at the box office before going in. this means that we dont have to run 2 ticketing systems at the wristband exchange area which i would potentially cause more problem.

those people who dont want to bother with purple or exchanging their ticket will just camp as they would normally with yellow or red.

let me know if ive missed the point as ive not had chance to look at all the messages and if i have then let me know the issues and i'll look into.

regards

jim
