the walk's are ridiculous, people have a right to pick out piss poor organisation (in that respect. We were making a 45 minute detour, madness) when the ticket cost two ton.

Jury's still out on the food issue, maybe they're just collectively being c**ts and binding together to push the price up this year, but I noticed a 50% rise on anything food related, so will have to wait until I attend another fest to see if it's all festival food that's rising in price, or just the food at download. Not meant as an attack, but with your "deal with it" attitude don't start complaining when it's a tenner for a burger.

Was the food issue really that bad?! The walking, I ain't arsed hearing people moan about that, thought pople would've got used to that after the past 2 years, but can understand ya moaning if the food prices are that awful. Serious tho, gimme a realistic food price quote...? I'm worrying what Sonisphere is gonna be like, price-wise...

cheapest thing i found was chips and mushy peas for £3.50

plain burgers were £4.50

everything else was between £5-£7

it was a sizeable jump up from last years prices, people wouldnt be complaining about it otherwise. We all know you have to pay a little more at these things but it's getting ridiculous.

like ive said all along, if they cant justify the ticket price with the headliners like they did this year, next year then i'll hapilly not go and spend the money i'd save on a holiday, or a European festival.

Because by next year it will be just as much to get flights, a festival ticket and transfers as it will to get a download ticket.

As far as food is concerned, I like the fact you have a better choice these days. If you want cheap shit you can pay £4 for a crap burger. Or you can pay £6-7 for a bloody tasty one.

Did anyone go to Puschka Grill? - the one with the pink front pretty much as soon as you get into the arena. Best festival food ever. Fact.

Best bargain of the weekend was when hovering around the Fine Fish & Chips stall after AC/DC and getting battered sausage, scampi, chips and mushy peas FOR FREE!

Im glad have no seen ACDC, also glad that AC has got them out of his system so we can go back to having a full festival of three healdiners that actually want to be a part of Download.

I had the most fun this year! Met some really awesome people and had so much fun with them. Games, drink... The whole lot. There is only Download where you can walk around hugging random strangers. Despite a few setbacks had an amazing time, and will be going with my new friends and Graham (and my friend from the US) next year!

Awesome: AC/DC, Aerosmith, Lawnmower Deth, Deftones

Great: Reckless Love, RATM, Napalm Death, STP, Billy Idol

Good: Sybreed, 3 Inches of Blood, Saxon, Slash, Motorhead

OK: Unearth, Killswitch Engage, TCV, Cancer Bats, LoG, Megadeth

Only band that bored me as such was Imicus on the Red Bull stage. Never got me going and in hindsight, I'd have been better off watching Danny Vaughn on the acoustic stage.

Those bands such as Unearth et al really didn't get me in the mood at all. I was quite disappointed in those bands as they seemed quite generic - even Megadeth didn't really get me going. 'We're going to play you SOME of the songs from 'Rust In Peace' - if they'd left out some of the driftwood in their set they could've played the two or three tracks they missed out and played the thing in full.

I understand Download needs to book such bands to retain commercial appeal but it'd be great if there'd been somebody with something different to offer. I still remember 2006 when they had Strapping Young Lad and Soulfly on the Main Stage - those two bands really crushed a few skulls that day. There's only so many times you can watch the bands like KsE use the same gimmick (ie. Adam D's stage banter), or LoG playing what felt like the same song over and over.

Still, can't complain too much, I had a good time, despite the rain scuppering any chance I had of catching Steel Panther and Ginger - my trainers didn't come home with me after the trip through the mud!

The organisation at the festival seemed much better to me, didn't have too many problems aside from a problem with my tickets when I got there. Was camped in White and didn't notice any trouble or anything like that. And walking to and from the arena, for me, has never been an issue.

Food price jump is definitely noticeable though. The quality Aberdeen Angus burger I had last year for £4.00 jumped up by a quid! That said, the tea stall in the campsite doing tea for a quid with 50p per mug deposit was quality.

All in all, a great experience again, me and my (now) wife had a blast on what was our honeymoon, and that rain and a broken phone was worth it for a soggy mosh to STP's 'Dead and Bloated', and a cracking view for Aerosmith!

Roll on 2011!
