The Nal
I bow down before no one. It's Matt Busby the Liverpool and Shitty player. It couldn't be two worse clubs, could it? Edited May 11, 2011 by The Nal
Wooderson
Where are the calls for 'Arry's head from the London Meejah? One win from ten? *tumbleweed blows through efests forum* Yet Rafa "risked tainting LFC's proud history" by finishing in similar (better?) circumstances last year. jammy2211
I've watched the matches last night and on Monday night. Of the two, last night's was my preferred match to watch, because it was the bigger game of the two, and I expect just about any game involving Fulham to be dull as dishwater. Wooderson
That was a Henry Winter quote wasn't it. Same article said "Murphy or Lucas? Discuss. But not for long." Well the answer to that is Lucas. Gerrard was asked the other day who our player of the season had been, an instant one word reply "Lucas". Good job Rafa actually knew a darn sight more about football than Henry Winter!

strummer77
Fulham arn't that dull to watch, we play pretty passing football for the most part, albeit less so this season. It's always short passing forward from the defence outwards though, which is more then a lot of sides in the league can say. We have a good defence though, unlike most, which can I guess results in less goals - but the matches themselves are always decent.

eFestivals
Oh and not sure if anyone else has mentioned it, but 26 years ago today was the tragic Bradford Fire. RIP the 56 I remember my TV being on (Grandstand perhaps - I forget), and it suddenly cut to the pictures of the stand on fire. A dreadful day indeed. eFestivals
Too young to have seen it but know enough about it and have seen the footage on youtube to know what a terrible event it was. We're so lucky today that the chances of this kind of event happening are so slim. Yup. Not related to what happened at Bradford of course, but people campaign for the return of stands - which I understand from one angle - but it's easy to forget or dismiss with today's safety record the extra risks that come along with that, even if those risks would be better managed and so smaller than they'd have been in the past. When - not if, because shit always happens eventually - something does go wrong involving the large numbers as there are at footie grounds (or concerts, or anything else) the consequences can be similarly large. The Nal
I remember seeing a footie focus tribute to the victims of the fire last year on the 25th anniversary. I'd never heard about it before! I was shocked, unbelievably sad.

zahidf
Following Liverpool's amazing run of superb form under King Kenny, they are now 14/1 to win the Premiership next season. For those of you unfamiliar with betting, this means if you bet £20, you lose £20.

eFestivals
"more than enough"?! Not when they're looking at signing Stewart Downing. Anyway, City AND Liverpool cant both win the league. I was being slightly tongue in cheek, while at the same time havinbg an amount of seriousness in what I said: "if he carries on in the same way he's started" - cos if he does carry on the way he's started, then he will win it. The points he's clocked up this season get to prove that. As for any signings of the likes of Downing - someone who's regarded as a very decent player at his best - given the improvement Kenny has got from what you've regularly called a shockingly bad squad that's been good enough to match any team in the league, I wouldn't be too fast to right them off. But anyway, Downing? While I have seen his name linked with Liverpool, I've not seen it for a few weeks and only just the once I think. From Villa the name that gets mentioned again and again and again (while writing off Utd's chances of signing him) is Ashley Young. But who knows? Mostly stuff like this is just paper talk - if it wasn't Utd would have around 100 goalies next season. Personally I can't see Shitty winning the league, not if Mancini stays there anyway. Liverpool with the squad they've got now should easily beat any team that Shitty might buy that Mancici was in charge of. Kenny can get the best out of his players, while Mancini defo can't. And just in case anyone is think that I'm thinking that Liverpool will win the league next year, I'm not. But you never know.

Greeny_Musicchild
I'm just off to the pub before heading to the match. History tells us Forest will conceed 2 or 3 in the last moments of the 2nd leg. However every other time we've played second at home, under a lot of pressure. I'm confident of a good result tonight. strummer77
Don't expect miracles next season but hopefully it won't be the unmitigated slide of August 09 until January 10. I'd be delighted with top 4 next season. The year after can be the big push. Step by step and we can do it. Just happy the club is back in safe hands.
