pink_triangle
Personally I can't see Shitty winning the league, not if Mancini stays there anyway. Liverpool with the squad they've got now should easily beat any team that Shitty might buy that Mancici was in charge of. Kenny can get the best out of his players, while Mancini defo can't. And just in case anyone is think that I'm thinking that Liverpool will win the league next year, I'm not. But you never know.
nevermind1927
Forest were shocking tonight against a ten man Swansea, can't see em getting to the final if they play like that again. I'm shitting myself about tonight's match against Reading! ( Btw hello football fans, I'm a Cardiff supporter in case ya didn't guess)
lharris92
apparently swansea fans were already celebrating as if they had got to the final.... wonder if forests 2nd leg jynx continues
Greeny_Musicchild
The Swansea fans did indeed stick behind singing that they were going to Wembley, i stood and watched them until they were singing to an empty stadium. Hopefully that over confidence will rub off on their players. The first minute sending off killed the game really then for the first half Forest seemed more like the team with 10 men. Come the second half Swansea just sat behind the ball. I think it's over for another year but who knows, anything can happen.
pink_triangle
I wouldnt count forest out yet, can see the 2 championship play offs being close and wouldnt be surprised to see extra time and penalties. Interestingly looking at the championship promotion this season, the teams going up are weaker than those going down which is the opposite of 12 months ago. It makes the premiership survival race even more important, as the teams that stay up this season will feel pretty confident of staying up next as well. eFestivals
Next seasons not the first time people have predicted it will be liverpools year and the end result has been another year without a league title. Its hard to judge squad strength untill the seaosn starts. However I think the current city squad is significantyl stronger and only likely to improve. I think mancini is a bit underrated, his style may be a little dull but it is very effective in maximising points at home. He has been pretty clear all season that his aim was 4th place and he has achieved it, he will have to be more ambitious next season and I suspect they will continue to get stronger. As I've made clear, I'm predicting nothing for Liverpool next year. The city squad is great on paper, but it's crap on the field. At least some of that is down to Mancini. He'll never have City win the league no matter who he buys.

the_hedge
Forest were average last night and I would put Swansea in the driving seat, but we are talking the play off's so anything can happen. If I was a betting man I would bet on a feast of goals between 75 and 90 mins for the home side
eFestivals
Man City are far from crap on the field. They are very effective in what they do, they have got ateam who are difficult to beat and thats a good building block for going further. I think british fans dont like mancinis attitude of setting up a side to come 4th in a league. Some may say unambitious, others would say pragmatic. His first full season in charge he has got city into the champions league and to a cup final. I think this has to be seen as a success. Next season the targets will be different and city will have to be judged differently. As for the future Im undecided about mancini, think it could go either way. City are in a much stronger position in the transfer market with the champions league status and can probably look beyond gambles that other big teams wont touch like balotelli and average england players like barry and milner. Mancini set his side up last year to come 4th in the league, and they failed. He did worse than Hughes, who WAS on target for 4th. He then had to go out and spend another ยฃ250M or whatever it's been, and still only just scraped 4th this year. If he spends another ยฃ250M this summer, he might scrape 3rd next season. eFestivals
Yeah you canโt buy it, not in the long term anyway which is why Iโd predict Liverpool finishing ahead of City next season. City have spent half a billion by the way!! I'd say that you can buy it - but only if you're the right manager and you buy the right players. I don't think Mancini is very good, because he doesn't seem to be able to get much at all out of his players. That of course might be because he's bought the wrong players who are there more for the money than to perform, but that comes back on the manager who bought them no less than him not being able to gee them up to perform. Perhaps I'm wrong with all that and he'll prove me wrong next season, but that's defo the impression I've gained to date.
jump
My view on Mancini is he's just not a man manager from his failed attempts to control the "rebellious" players so a few of his best performing players like Bellamy, Ireland & (possibly soon) Tevez were all shifted out. He's needs to stop this playing the wrong footed player on the wing too. I can see City going and get a trophy player for next season now that they have the Champ's League like Kaka or Ibrahimovic who will ultimately fail. strummer77
City have too many egos. Just like Chelsea do. Which is why ultimately both of them fell short of United, who whilst having some egos, are at no stage bigger than their manager.

Benj
King Kenny gets a 3 year contract. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/13378374.stm Should be more than enough to win them the league if he carries on in the same way he's started. eFestivals
ahhahahahhahahhahahah, I truly love Liverpool fans Which Liverpool fans are responsible for that comment then? So I love the stupidity of Everton fans. Not only for stupidly thinking there's a Liverpool fan involved in that comment, but for stupidly thinking there's anything wrong with the comment itself. Cos if you care to examine what the comment says, you'll get to find that there's absolutely nothing that's wrong with it. *IF* he carries on as he has he WILL win the league - it only takes Utd to drop a couple of points from what they've got this season. The rules are that you say nothing about a ref before a game. Only a fool would be thinking that fergie didn't know of this rule or that it'd slipped his mind, so he was trying to influence the ref. Throw the book at him. It'll make a change if they do.

ralph250
Not laughable at all. Managers arenโt allowed to talk about refs before games and try to influence them. Fergie is well aware of this. He could be in trouble.
