Benj
Sick of blues that constantly talk about Liverpool. Concentrate on your own team, as boring as that may be. Typical, bitter Evertonian. I know it's difficult to swallow the fact that you're constantly in our shadow, and regardless of how shit we're playing, you'll always be shitter, and that you support a team whose player budget amounts to about the price of a medium-sized round, but get over it. The Nal
Congrats to Man Utd, very worthy winners of 19 titles. Fergie sure is able to get a bunch of players where most wouldn't make most people's best-in-the-world list playing as a team at a level above their individual skills. (just in case anyone's having a problem with that [utd fans? Never. ], what I'm meaning is that their sum is greater than their parts)

eFestivals
You're right yeah but theres some good players in the team. Best keeper around this year. Wouldn't have won the league without him. There's defo some very good players, but it's still not really a team where many would look at the team sheet and go "they could beat just about anyone" (if they didn't already know their history of doing just that of course). The fact that it's not (now, or in the past) a team stuffed full of world class players is what makes their success so impressive.

eFestivals
It just proves what an amazing manager Sir Alex Ferguson is to constantly get the best out of his squad Yup. The relative success of Dalglish at Liverpool this season has changed my mind about how much of a team's success can be down to the manager rather than resources being the biggest part. (not trying to take the gloss off it at all, but that point on Saturday was a little on the fortunate side. While I'm not disagreeing with the penalty, it was the sort of foul in the box that quite often doesn't get a penalty cos the player played for a penalty). eFestivals
To be fair to Hodgson, Dalglish has had a forward who could be slightly bothered while Suarez has been a great addition to the squad, I reckon it's far more than just that. After all, while Suarez has come in, Torres has gone out - and while he hasn't been scoring for Chelsea, he wasn't having the same difficulty at Liverpool. But talking of Liverpool, they were dreadful in the first half yesterday (I didn't get to see the 2nd unfortunately). I'm now trying to remember if they've been much worse each time Carroll has played, but can't remember.

pink_triangle
Regarding the resource v manager argument. They were having the debate on the radio not so long ago. If you could rank all club by resources 1-20 and by managerial ability 1-20 and the best manager was allocated to the team with the worst resources, 2nd best to 2nd worst etc. Which combination would you choose. I felt 17th best manager with 4th best resources was about right but there was a really wide range of opinions.

nevermind1927
Don't think we (Cardiff) will beat Reading tomorrow but if we do it will be f**king mental at Wembley. Wonder if they could bubble wrap the trip??

Greeny_Musicchild
Well, the best team won. I'm happy Forest went and gave Swansea a game, had their bums twitching until the last minute. It wasn't until Pratleys goal that I stopped believing we could take them to extra time and that's a credit to the players. Some new faces including Martin O'Neil and an automatic spot next year, please. Edited May 17, 2011 by Greeny_Musicchild
