llcoolphil
He may be third choice now but it wouldnt take much for him to progress.
pink_triangle
If Rob Green was good enough for the world cup, you dont drop him complg just beneetely on the strength of one mistake - exactly as happened with Robinson previously. It would take a huge amount for him to progress knowing that he has the coach's confidence. What has Robinson done between not being good enough to go to the world cup and now being included in an England squad?
llcoolphil
The point is he doesnt need to do anything, its quite possible that he could end up with the position by default. If your english and playing in the premiershp your not going to be too far from playing for the national team.
Kowalski
Don't blame Paul Robinson. Easily England's best keeper over the last few years, and ridiculous he wasn't in the World Cup squad.

llcoolphil
I would agree james has been the most consistent english keeper over the last few years but robinson and green arent far behind. None have proven themsekves at one of the top sides.

Jaybles
So hot off the heals of Robinson.....30 yr old Wes Brown has now also retired from international football. What is it with modern footballers "retiring" from international duty, its rediculous. Beckham is 5 years older than both of them, recently ruptured his achillies tendon, is playing in America and would still give his all to put on the England Jersey. Am i alone in thinking you should play for your country until your country does not call for your services anymore.
ampersand
nah if you don't have the desire or belief that you can still do a job, then why lessen the team with your inclusion.

eFestivals
When I think about it more it shows how bad things have got an Anfield when Arsenal think they can yoink our best players. given that Rafa was offering them Liverpool's best player a couple of summers back, who started this....? ste4_20
Barcelona midfielder Xavi insists Cesc Fabregas's stay at Arsenal could only be temporary. The Gunners captain, subject to speculation regarding a move to the Nou Camp, revealed last week he would remain at the Emirates. Xavi said: "We've given up on the idea of him arriving now but maybe he'll come in January when Arsenal are out of the Premier League race. They can't just hold him against his will." After things like that, I don't think there's an agreement in place for him to move next year.
