Going back to JC, he's played in the wrong position for the last 5 years. Had he not been, we'd have probably seen a player that England would have built their team around.

So what is his right position then?

And assuming what your answer is going to be, why do you think any team would be happy to see so many goals chalked off for offside (even with the rules having changed in his favour) by playing him there? There's a strong risk of him costing more goals than he'd help create. ;)

So what are the chances of Utd getting Sneijder then? Inter hardly have much tv money coming in, Serie A being f**ked as it is. They may have a shot with 30 million on the table!

Still though, it shouldve happened last year. Fergies refusal to deal with "that mob" has come back to bite him. 12 million last year for him or 30 this year!?? Why didnt he ask for 65 million and Sneijder for Ronaldo last year?

Not at all surprised that this c**t has been keeping a low profile. If it were an English club they'd be half way out of Europe by now.

Our squad numbers were released the other day. For all the world it looks like we'll be loaning two midfielders and striker again. That worries me, not because I see the loan system as some great evil, but because there's no way in hell that those three players are going to be better than Tom Cleverley, Henri Lansbury and Heidar Helguson.

Steve McClaren has signed a couple of good players for Wolfsberg - Simon Kjaer and Arne Friedrich. Kjaer was linked with everyone going over the last few months

Goal.com/Tribal football etc, reporting that Sky Italia have said that Inter want Macheda in any deal for Balotelli. Wouldn't be surprised if he wanted to leave Inter given his problems there (racial chants, internal disciplinary problems), but can't see it at that price considering those disciplinary problems. Can't see Fergie letting go of Macheda either.

Inter have demanded that Manchester United include super sub Federico Macheda in any offer for Mario Balotelli, according to Sky Italia.

Balotelli, 19, is at the centre of a tug of war between rivals United and Manchester City. Sir Alex Ferguson is believed to see the Italy youth international as the successor to Cristiano Ronaldo and is prepared to outbid the Blues and offer £25 million.

Inter president Massimo Moratti is understood to only be prepared to do business for £33m. With United unwilling to reach that figure, a part exchange including Macheda could appease the patron.

The Lazio youth product only made five starts for United last term due to a recurring groin injury. Ferguson still rates the youngster highly, however, and would be reluctant to send him packing to Inter even if Balotelli was signed in return.

As I said on here the other day, I think the 25 man squad rule, along with several clubs pulling out of the reserve league, means that a lot of players will be going out on loan this season. Should be a big pool of players to go for, just depends who you can get. You must stand a reasonable chance of taking some of our youngsters considering your training ground is literally next door to ours.

Will be interesting to see if Cleverley gets some gametime this season.

On the plus side, considering those loans were successful for both parties, good chance of United (and Arsenal) accepting further loan deals from Watford.

Sneijder staying with Inter Milan. No big surprise.

Holland's World Cup finalist Wesley Sneijder has told Inter Milan that he has no intention of leaving the Giuseppe Meazza this summer.

Reports have emerged that Manchester United are planning a £29million offer for the classy playmaker after he helped Inter to the treble trophy success of the UEFA Champions League, Serie A and Coppa Italia last season.

But as he prepares for Sunday's World Cup final against Spain, Sneijder insists that he is fully committed to the Italians and has seemingly crushed Sir Alex Ferguson's hopes of luring the 26-year-old to Old Trafford.

The Dutchman, who joined Inter in the August of 2009 having failed to make the grade at Real Madrid, said: "I am staying. I will play for Inter Milan next season.

"My heart is in Milan. With Inter, I won everything last season and there's a lot more to win, like the European Super Cup, Italian Super Cup and the World Club Cup, which are all great trophies."

Sneijder is aware of Manchester United's interest, but Inter president Massimo Moratti told the Italian press on Wednesday that the midfielder, the joint top-scorer at this summer's World Cup, was not for sale

So hes making fake bids for world class players just to give the illusion Utd have cash?

It was Inter that came out with the news, not Utd. Thats a new level of ABU nonsense Neil, even from you. Hats off.

There was no bid. There was an enquiry, and that's as far as it got. And given Wesley's comments today, it's a non-starter.

That aside, there's ways of Utd having cash to spend, which is a different thing to having cash to spend. It's abundantly clear that all that's available to Fergie is pin money without selling for the extra.

You're more than capable of posting your own 'nonsense' with comments on any team. What does that make you then?

Once you've removed your blinkered head from your arse you'd maybe realise that I'd have laughed no less at claims by Hull, Pompey, Liverpool, and any other financially f**ked up clubs of having money they don't have to spend. Do grow up, eh?

Speaking of financially f**ked clubs, we're all praying that this is true.

As a bit of background for those of you whose clubs spend £20million on a left back (and Neil), last summer we signed Danny Graham. Being under 24, we had to pay Carlisle compensation. They originally asked for £50k, and we refused, so it went to tribunal. The original tribunal date coincided with our pre season tour, so it was postponed until the end of August. Graham had a fantastic pre-season, and start to the League season, and Carlisle demanded £100k to avoid the tribunal. We refused again. The tribunal ended up awarding Carlisle £200k up front, £150k based on appearances, a sell on fee, and £200k if we get promoted.

hargreaves hasn't a chance of making the world cup. Been taken out of our CL registration for the knockouts.

Recent reports are that he's alternating training with the first team and reserves but I can't see him making it back this season. Hope is I guess to be rested over the summer and ready for next, but bit concerned he's done a la Dean Ashton. Real shame if so :(
