what happened to all of the 'self confirmed bands'

loads of bands that were supposedly self confirmed haven't been announced, such as mayday parade, forever the sickest kids, reel big fish, beardyman, tek-one, sonic boom six, bring me the horizon, set your goals, four year strong?

i'm not saying it would be a good thing if all these people were confirmed, some are shit, i'm just wondering what happened to them?

or are there still some announcements that they might be fit for...

EVery year people either make stuff up, or things get misreported. People always jump on it though. It's never a good idea to trust self confirmations unless you see it yourself, or there is some 100% proof... and even thennot to trust it until FR confirm it.

Most of them never self confirmed

I said this at the time, people on hear go to gigs and when they hear the words "we will be back soon" or "see you at the end of summer" ect they come on here and try tell people they have exclusive info that the band will be at R&L for whatever reason when its not the case.

This happened last year when somebody started a topic saying they had been to a gig the night before and the band had confirmed on stage that they would "be back in August for the reading and Leeds festival". I happened to be at that exact same gig and there exact words were "we should be back doing a few shows at the end of summer" which is completely different.

People will always try to make something out of nothing.
