Chill and Charge - do you need to take your charger

The queues for recharge can be horrible, particularly for popular phone types.

I take an old handset with me and a couple of spare batteries. This gets me through Glasto with no need to recharge at all.

I'd rather be watching bands than queueing for anything..!!

i tended to go when they first opened last year - 10am I think, no queues then.

My 3 network (INQ) phone was hopeless - 3G and only lasted day and half

Even a quick charge in the orange tent didn't help much - And I couldn't get a network most of the time.

Although I moved on and bought a HTC desire (brilliant phone), I am not taking it.. Its battery hungry.

So I've got a cheap £10 nokia on orange network; It has a battery life of 500 hrs standby, FM radio, and built in torch. Hopefully no visits to the chill and charge tent! No facebook or twitter, but I will be doing more important things than tweeting 'im at glasto' (besides I've already tweeted I'm going!)

The previous post regarding 'rather watch bands' - Chill and charge tent

do have bands - I watched reverend and the makers play there soon after their other stage set in 2007

This year it looks good line up

Ellie Goulding, Lissie, Tinie Tempah, Liam Bailey, Paloma Faith, Imelda May and Newton Faulkner all will do acoustic sets
