Undercover security

The Mrs said that following recent shocking stories from TITP and Latitude there will be undercover security/police camping throughtout the whole weekend.

I hope that nothing of this nature happens at V but it is reassuring that they are taking further precautions

(apologies for the spelling)

probably, it happens everywhere, i have met 2 groups at festivals this year already. the perks of the job for them are they get paid a lil bit and are garanteed tickets to all festivals as long as they are working

none of them are really that bothered i don't think unless you are being violent or dealing loads of drugs, we camped right next to a group at t and they were just as smashed as us.

a mate of mine tried selling pills to an undercover policeman/security last year so they are there. the pills he was trying to sell them was fake though so he just spent the night locked up and was released in the early hours.

I'm quite surprised that they didn't nick him for a fraud offence instead - it's defo been the case back in the eighties (if not more recently) that "dealers" who were caught selling fake drugs at Reading festival were prosecuted for fraud of some kind.

I've always found the security at V better than at other places - they actually do seem to try to stop theiving from tents which is a novelty! so I wouldn't be suprised at all if there was undercover police / security about.

As the above posters have said, they're not going to nick you for having a good time but if you start trying to sell stuff you're goign to be in bother.

Reminds of the time a friend of mine tried to sell the bouncer in a pub we were in on New Year's Eve some pills, go us all thrown out at 11:30........he was a popular mate!
