hi guys, first time at v for 5 of us ,got a few questions, firstly we have no tickets as yet, been advised that rather than ebay ,we will be able to buy them from the touts outside as we approach [the nearer the gate the better],willing to pay a little over face value for 5 weekend camping tickets ,will we get them for this, is my question [maybe a small sign in the car window as we drive along?]? second ,been advised there is a back route through nantwich which may not be as congested as coming off the m6 ,is this right ?lastly any thoughts as to the best time to set of [coming from near wigan ] to avoid the worst of the traffic [we planned to set of around 4 or 5 oclock friday morning......]thanks for any help.....

I'd use ebay, 2 of my friends successfully got their tickets from there which was 260 quid (alot but you won't find anything cheaper). The touts have became less and less over the years and even more dodgy 5 tickets is a lot to try and grab from touts amongst all the other hopefulls trying aswell. I'd go with ebay if i were you or look on the forum...

I've always seen loads of touts, including last year and right up to the place where you have to show your tickets to get in ie in the carpark. They've been asking to buy spare tickets from you as well as selling them. I've always been tempted to ask how much but never have so can't help you there. Like others here, I feel it's a big risk to leave it til then but you may be lucky!

If you was only getting there and trying to get the odd ticket it might be worth while, but five of you trying to get them, I dare say the touts would have you as they would know how desperate five of you were for tickets, get on eBay and sort it before you go, good luck.

I'd say definitely have a look on eBay rather than relying on touts. I can't think of anything worse than getting everything packed and excited for a great weekend, only to get all the way to the gate and have to turn around and go home with no tickets. There are plenty of tickets on eBay, but you may have to pay £250+, but if you really want to go then that's your best bet.
