early entry thursday

I have heard of people who bought their tickets in the pre sale having got early entry tickets for the Thursday night. Is this right? Was it just for those who bought in pre sale or was there any on general sale coz I never heard anything about it & I'm normally on the ball when it come to these kind of things?

I think people go down on the thursday and stay on a campsite near V its self not to sure what its called though

There is no earlybird this year, it was a one off previously. The campsite they all seem to stay at is whitepump farm. No me though its only an hour and a half from MK!

I got early bird and am spending the Thursday night in a travelodge 15 mins from Weston, the early bird camping stopped 2 year ago.

Yeh we went early bird on the Thursday in 2008 which was the only time I thought they did it.

In 2008 they had a Ticketmaster early bird option (this year only) and opened on the Thursday as a trial to see if it eased conjestion, the communication was shocking, you could only do this with a ticketmaster ticket apparently and they just let anyone wander in but it was sooo quiet on the Thursday, Really good though, it was a like a little festival on its own and then everyone else rocked up, they had a disco in the tent on the Thursday night too.

They planned to do it last year but it was sponsored by JJB and they had just pulled out of their sponsorhsip so it never happened.

However a radio station in Stafford announced that they were opening the gates at 9pm on the Thursday to let people in rather than sleeping in cars, loads of people took off to get there and it was wrong so they camped on the farm next door for I think £7 a night and the lasy also makes everyone a bacon butty, they all had a fab night

Yeah I think you may be getting mixed up with white pump farm, I had heard the same though. But after looking into it I decided to book white pump Not Long Now!

They definatley not doing the thursday this year, I emailed them and got a reply saying they not!

I liked the early entry on the Thursday at Weston Park in 2008, but last year they offered it then cancelled it late on. I always thought it was testing the water for V to be a 3 day music festival, but obviously not.

The festival in 2008 was amazing because of the extra night. It had been good weather on the Thursday, Friday and Saturday morning too. Loved it. Shame they won't or can't repeat it.

It was I remember getting mashed on the Thursday and loving it plus it was quieter so could get into the Strongbow tent and Indie disco no problem. Then got to do it all again on the Friday then 2 days of music.
