Alcatraz
It's that time of year again as the players go to camp as we are just over a month away from Opening week and less than a week from the first pre-season games. Uncapped year has led to some interesting transitions, coaching changes, a new stadium and a new crop of players. I'm looking forward to seeing how the likes of Tebow turn out, as he really electrified the college game, football like I've never seen. The two big stories of the week: Darelle Revis holding out- I have to say, fair enough, but he wont get exactly what he wants and of course the annual Brett Favre retirement- Give it 2 weeks and he'll be in the Purple again

ste4_20
Favre will play. Anyone fancy getting a fantasy league together on here? Started one on the NFL site a few weeks ago, draft nights quite a decent laugh. Tipping Chargers and Cowboys to quite well, while the Jets will get far based purely on their defence. Heading to New York in November, hoping to see Giants Cowboys at New Meadowlands and an Ivy League game at Colombia. Can't wait.

philipsteak
Not a big fan at all but I'm off to the states for a couple of months in October. Gonna be travelling around a bit catching up with friends so hoping to take in a game or two. Seattle, Chicago and Indianapolis are 3 possibles (they're 3 places I'm going to be so depending on tickets/schedule/friends). Went to a game last time but one I was there, in San Francisco. Good fun, just a shame the 49ers were (are?) shit.

philipsteak
Have a look into going to a college game as well. The atmosphere is amazing and tail gating with lots of drunk college lovelies comes highly recommended (especially as most girls in the states seem to find an english accent attractive). Not got big hopes for the Dolphins this year, can't see more than 8-8 season at best.
Gre
Sign me up for the fantasy league - I've played on Yahoo & Fantrax which are both superior to NFL.com in my opinion if that matters at all! If we can have a manual draft with an automatic option for those who can't be online would that work? Looking forward to the season... the lack of an American gf/fiance this year means I'm not planning to go over at all... I have been meaning to visit a friend in Atlanta though, might see if they're any good this year and base it on that Annoyingly their 4-yearly Steelers game is in Pittsburgh. Steve P
Yeah, ESPN allows you to do that IIRC. I'll set it up now. How many teams do we reckon?
minute5072
I'll give it a go. Don't know much player wise, just love watching the odd game so should be fun to get a bit more involved.

Alcatraz
Considering there's a few people not so experienced with players, I'll keep it so that we draft a teams defense rather than individual players in each position Edited August 4, 2010 by Alcatraz
Alcatraz
All right, finally got round to setting up the fantasy league. We've got 10 spots which should be enough. The draft is set for Sept 1st, but at about 6pm, but that can be changed so we can get as many involved as possible. If you can PM me your email and your name as you want it to appear in the league, I'll whip an invite out to you Edited August 13, 2010 by Alcatraz
