Food question

I'm the type of person who needs some fore of breakfast to function.

Is there any food stalls that serve breakfast options at Reading? If so what kind of foods? I dont really want a fry up0 every morning ha!

Also if I was to survive of food there (i.e not bring my own/or use a bbq) how much money would be required? I know prices of food at other festivals are a bit of a rip off.

Thanks.

There is a 24 hour breakfast bar there. Think it's 6 quid per for a full breakfast. There are vegetarian breakfast stuff as well if your like me :) I think there might be a stall that sells cereal and toast.... though i cannot be sure. It would be logical to go to Tesco when you arrive to load up on stuff you need if you dont want to live off of expensive shit? That's what i'll be doing anyhow.

oh and all Stalls have the same prices for similar products. A price list will be released in the next two weeks or so. =]

Me and my girlfriend will be having a vegetarian breakfast each morning at our tent if we can. We aren't vegetarians; we just don't eat pig meat so sausages and bacon rashers are out of the equation. Coffee, tea, beans, toast, eggs and potato each morning if we can manage it - cooking them up on 2 bucket BBQ's with these neat little devices called FlameDisk's inside them. Shouldn't take more than 20 minutes and will keep us going all morning and afternoon. It's also the best cure for a hangover I've ever had. So if you can track these down (as well as some bucket barbecues), they're a seriously good investment if you're the type of person that enjoys the prospect of cooking food yourself like I am.

Money-wise, you're looking at 666's if you want to spend money on nothing but festival food - £6 in the morning, £6 in the afternoon, £6 at tea. Drinks on top of that, plus snacks and merchandise. You could easily spend £60+ a day at a festival on absolutely nothing.

Another option that, I hasten to add, isn't as sensible as the other one I suggested, is to get some dexedrine. I don't promote illicit drug abuse and would discourage you from taking it but there are 3 ways of getting it:

1. Put on a hooded top and meet an illegal drug dealer (Boris from St. John's Court up the road) who'll give you something similar but much worse. This is how you die.

2. Pretend you're absolutely clown-f**k mad and visit a legal drug dealer (Dr Singh from Grange Street Surgery) who'll prescribe you with the drugs as well as make a few appointments to see a specialist - who is also coincidentally named Dr Singh. This is how you end up going mad but also gives you a much needed prescription that'll help you get it past security.

3. Decide to make friends with a random person just because their brother (13 year old Tommo) suffers from ADHD and then raid his mum's medicine drawer, finding alongside the dexedrine a month's supply of kapake and some lorazepam. This is how you have fun.

Dexedrine (in addition to being a brand name for amphetamine) is an appetite suppressor so technically you could go all week and eat nothing at all. This would also mean you wouldn't have to endure a trip to the loo as well.

But like I said, I don't promote this method as it is a bit dangerous.

(This is how Dave the Hedgehog gets banned...)
