jump
Cherry Ripes are great. My old housemate used to get his girlfriends mum in Oz to send them over which was when i first tried them. Was so happy when they started selling them here.
dakyras
Why would you buy cereal from Selfridges? It must be cheaper just to have it shipped from the US, surely? I can't even remember why it stopped being sold in the UK. Probably to do with the sugar content.

ampersand
Are they Tazos? I never understood what the hell they were for. I used to love Lucky Charms, shame you can't get them over here any more. I'm not paying 8 f**king quid for a box though
jump
nah, pogs. probably the same idea though. come to think of it, i can't remember how you played them either. were bloody brilliant though! nightcrawler13
If memory serves me right you would stack your pogs with another players and then throw a metal heavy pog at the top and you would win whatever pogs flipped over. I got really pissed off with other kids at middle school as I kept winning but the others would go "no, we weren't playing for keeps"
jump
they got banned at our school cause kids were playing for keeps, which counted as gambling, which is illegal and morally wrong in the deep south of the usa i loved pogs though, i found one with a magic mushroom carrying a knife before in a bag of old crap! saratink
i loved collecting mc donalds toys!! They used to be amazing things, now they are just crap :| plus everyone must try this. You know rainbow drops sweets? i think they still sell them at least i hope they still do! well, put them in a bowl and then put milk on the top and it is the most delicious thing ever!! i used to do it all the time as a kid. Mind you, my friends all thought it was really weird, but it is sooo lush!!
Pogues Mcgogues
We used to play British Bulldogs in school when it was banned. The janney caught on when we shouted "Bullies" for everyone to run so we changed it to "pengiuns" and all my time in primary school they never caught on to what we were actualy playing. Purple Monkey
does anyone remember a strawberry yoghurt that came in a sort of donut shaped pot and there was a toy in the hole. think it was space themed. i used to love them but have no idea what they were called. Alcatraz
Does anyone remember a run of pots of what was a bit like slush-puppies, but more solid and had the consistency of soft scoop ice cream. Walls made them I think. The ones I remember were coca cola flavourred, and the slushie mixture had tiny white fizzy bits mingled through it. I seem to be the only one who remembers them. They were sold by our local ice cream man for about five minutes on a Tuesday afternoon during a specific Summer holiday when I was about 9 or 10 (1994/1995-ish). I am still open to the possibility that they were in fact psychotropic drugs being fed to me by said ice cream man in an efort to groom me, but I just want to confirm whether or not this may be the case. saratink
They were kind of like ice balls which would become a slush and were in containers which looked like an office dustbin? Although that descprition of yours sounds a bit different, plus the one I'm thinking of was much more recent than 1994/

windy_miller
Oh and Sharwoods Yellowbean sauce has been discontinued for over a year now and I'm quite inconvenienced by this because it was my favourite. If you're reading this Sharwoods, go f**k yourselves. Edited September 1, 2010 by windy_miller
Purple Monkey
The Blue Dragon (or something like that) sauces that come in packets are pretty good and much cheaper than Sharwoods. I think they do a yellow bean sauce one. EDIT: actually on a quick seach of the Sainsburys website it seems that they don't do yellow bean sauce. In fact, no one does
amaidment
No it wasn't those. The packaging looked just like those pots of biscuit-sticks with the little chocolate dipping section (I think HP made them). I forget what they're called too - bloody useless reference all things considerred seeing as I think they're also discontinued now, but it's as close as I can get. jump
Maybe its to stop kids gorgeing on cereal because they were getting fat trying to collect them all? saratink
It's a con, I remember when I was 15ish I wanted the Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy bobbly heads they were giving away in Kellogs and for months I was eating my way through Cocopops to get Grim and I never found one. Eventually I went to Asda and started opening boxing to see the toy inside and I eventually found one after opening 24 boxs.
