BEARDED THEORY FESTIVAL – MAY 13TH-15TH 2011

Bearded Theory is back for the fourth time in May 2011 at our stunning new home the iconic Kedleston Hall in Derby.

We have secured a stunningly diverse line up which will be spread over 7 stages and we have improved our Children’s area, site art and campsite/live in vehicle area facilities for 2011. We are also delighted to have Arcadia who will be providing a fire spectacular every n...ight of the festival.

All 500 early bird tickets sold out in less than an hour and ticket sales in general are up on last year.

The old favourites will be back again including Angel Gardens, craft village, tea tent, organic food vendors and the bar will provide a better selection of Real Ales & Ciders at pub prices.

The planning meetings will remain open door and if you would like to attend to offer your ideas or help out please feel free to email the office info(at)beardedtheory.co.uk .

We will be supporting 3 charities in 2011 being Shelter, Oxfam and a small local charity being the Drop Inn who work with teenagers on the streets.

Bearded Theory is now Derbyshire’s biggest family festival and the fastest growing festival in the UK.

We hope you support the festival once again in May and enjoy everything we have to offer. The festival remains a non-profit enterprise and that is the reason we continue to provide the line up we do for a festival of our size.

Bearded Theory 2011 will take place at beautiful Estate, in Derbyshire.

Our new home is only a couple of miles away from Bradley Nook Farm and will hopefully become our new permanent home for many years to come. This is obviously subject to our PERMANENT premises license application.

We will have SIX stages offering a wide variety of simultaneous music programming. Away from the music we will have the Lady Bird Cabaret Tent, Gail’s open mic tea tent, HUGE children’s village, craft workshops, creative arts and much more.

Looks very posh

http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/main/w-kedlestonhall

Take a trip back in time to the 1760s at this spectacular Neo-classical mansion framed by historic parkland. Designed for lavish entertaining and displaying an extensive collection of paintings, sculpture and original furnishings, Kedleston is a stunning example of the work of architect Robert Adam. The Curzon family have lived here since the 12th century and continue to live at the Hall. Lord Curzon's Eastern Museum is a treasure trove of fascinating objects acquired on his travels in Asia and while Viceroy of India (1899 to 1905). Used as a key location for The Duchess', the recent Hollywood blockbuster.
