I havent been for the last two years but in 2008 the fires in the campsite were a bit crazy. Im thinking of trying to come in 2011, money permitting as im taking my wife and two kids to Glasto, just wanted to know how the Sunday nght went down this year after the bands had finished.

I was camped in Blue E, the area was mental from first thing Sunday morning. People wrecking tents and being plain stupid. Fires started at around 4PM.

First festival I've been too where I was worried about what was gonna happen to my tent, I wouldn't leave my tent on Sunday night, oh and to top off from the explosions every couple of minutes the neighbors started to set their tents on fire and even came and asked me if I had any aerosols. I went and grabbed security after that and they f**ked off, the security was well on the ball and such sound guys. Spent the night worrying like crazy. Some idiots was also stomping around wacking tents with gazebo poles screaming wakey wakey.

Also heard a group of people screaming the Kings of Leon song sex on fire but replacing sex with tent. This year was incredible apart from that, arena atmosphere was immense. Creamfields for me next year unless Glassjaw, Thursday or Poison The Well play.

As Smally said, the security were on the ball and I didn't see a fire that lasted any longer than 5-10 minutes.

I managed to put one out near us when I saw a girl and her boyfriend light a small sleeping bag and then went off to fetch some tents to put on it. I asked her if the tent was hers and why she was putting it on the fire and she answered "er, yeah I think so" and "because i want a fire"

The fact that tents burn for about 20 seconds and you can buy bags of wood that last hours just shows how stupid some festival goers are.

Having said that we still managed to have fun in red campsite just on the hill not far from the Traders Alley and we didn't feel too threatened.

I just struggle to grasp some people's mentality.

It was ok...

One of our lot started a fire, but he was only burning his tent. We didn't stay Sunday night due to the hassle Monday morning and just to avoid any problems if they did arise. But like people have said security really were good, first sign of smoke and they were there.

l was camped in Green (B Zone) had a really good time all weekend and had some really nice people camp all around us, which is a good thing! But on the down side there was about 8 tents including mine that got robbed or some one just been in looking for things. l was in my tent with a head torch on with all the doors shut and the bedroom door shut reading a book at the end of the night. l fell asleep still with the light on and woke about 10-15 mins later with the wind blowing in my face! someone had been in. That is not a good feeling. And then again at 7 in the morning but this time l got this guy. Told him to get out of the tent and then l started counting down from 5, on 3 he was gone. No camp site is safe from this sort of little pr*ks.

I was in Yellow (the one that people still seem to think is the worst for this kind of thing) and there was pretty much nothing. Got back from the arena at about 11 and there were no fires. After that there were a few knee height campfires, but most people were just chilled around the organised bonfire. I then selpt happily at about 3am until about 10am.

When I woke there was a fire and I saw somebody throw a gas canister on, but the security just got everyone out the way and put it out. These past 2 years in yellow haven't been anything like what I saw in Orange 08.

Oh, he was only burning his tent was he................f**king set of morons, how about doing the right thing and not burning anything. I went to Leeds 2003-2008 and apart from our camp fires with fire wood I can say I never burnt anything, whats the point !!

yeh i was in brown this year after camping in orange and red in previous years.I am now in love with brown campsite and would never think of camping anywhere else. Its not that much of a walk to the arena really and it is definately worth it.Absolutely no trouble on sunday night apart from a group of lads in one tent who i saw jump on somebody elses tent.we then saw him check if any1 was in mine but a shout of oi and a stern look got rid of him they went bed at about 1am though and that was honestly all i saw.

We were camped in Blue just as you come int o ot and It was ok. A bit more mental than last year and there was a bit of tent burning going on but the security had it dealt with pretty quick. I think the days of big riots are gone but we are far from having a safe festival without dickheads trying to ruin it for everyone.

I was camped in Blue about 2 minutes walk from the Oxfam tent in the village, I didnt have any problem what so ever, all the neighbours were really nice and I had a really good time. The only thing that happened to my tent was that someone drew two giant cocks on the tent in chalk, but I found it pretty funny so I left them on, all in all I had a great festival!

Had no problem in red not far from the distribution van over the fence by the valley. We had 20 or so tents some with ropes tied together, a massive purple gazebo in the middle with two flags made out of green tent in the middle. We made a fire on the saturday night only to be warned for burning pasta, and being told that two more warnings would result in permanent exclusion. We laughed about it and then the gazebo blew away so it wasnt funny anymore :( Sunday, we saw some CATs with fire extinguishers, but no riots, red emptied out pretty quickly.

Forgot to say, undercover security arrested two guys outside our groups tents. First two skinhead lads got into our circle and couldnt get out. I was going outside my tent for a fag and me and my mate clocked them so hung there for a minute, next thing six more lads got in to. The original two looked for a way around the tents and tied rope, but couldn't do it, next thing one security guy just goes, "right Dale we're gonna pull these". Security whipped out their badges and grabbed the lads, one tried to run away but they caught him, the other dropped a blackberry, sure enough the f**kers weren't wearing wristbands and were escorted away, then me and my mate handed in the phone.

To be honest compared to last year security seemed so much stricter, on the spot wristband checks, fire extinguishers, undercover, etc. Had no problems and wouldn't consider packing up early.
