For anyone thinking of seeing Monotonix I have just had this report from my daughter who saw them at Offset, they played in the crowd, he pulled his pants down and repeatedly spat over audience members, I thought punk ended in 1977!!!I think I will give them a miss

Mooning people right in their face is also part of their antics. They are lively and noisy, quite the antithesis to the Unthanks who are playing at the same time (I think). I'll probably choose Monotonix but stay in the back.

When they played Summer Sundae last year inside the hall I stayed upstairs. That didn't work.

Ha great vid Sweepingthenation So thats it settled brilliant family entertainment, kids will love the bare bums bit, and they are on at the same time as the Unthanks , ummm errr think I will see Annie & The Beekeepers then!

I don't remember any spitting when I saw them, there may have been some pulled down pants action though. unbelievably good fun though.

This might be fun if nothing else, and helps avoid the Unthinkables. Having said that, the name Monotonix conjures up images of a tone-deaf lute player from the Asterix books, like Cacofonix.

I went and saw them last night and they were good fun. He didn't spit as such but he did spray a few mouthfuls of beer around. And yes he showed his bum a few times but it's all in good fun. Although I'm no longer going to End of the Road, I think it's good that they've got at least one band thats capable of waking people up

I might just meet them in the gents toilets!! Well they sound lively, and different, probably more fun than many of the other bands

Thought it was a bit off conducting a set relaxing in a camping chair, they could have made more of an effort. They shouldn't allow them in the Arena anyway
