New Linkin Park Album...Oh Dear

Has anyone hear the new Linkin Park album yet? I like most of Linkin Park's old stuff and it's brave of them to try out a new direction, but my god it's so awful! It's got to be the most disappointing and boring release so far this year. No guitars to be heard! Leader of worst album of the year by a mile. Hope they are not at Download next year, these new songs would completely kill the atmosphere at the festival!

agree totally man used to be a mega fan got al lthere cds and a couple dvd's but i wont be getting the new album heard it all and its pish

I heard everyone slating it, but naturally I ignore what everyone says until I can judge for myself. I expected it to be very experimental, a bit more toward minutes to midnight that the first two albums, but after listening to it once through, I can honestly say I dont want to listen to it again. Really disappointed.

Going slightly off topic, Listening to Serj Tankian's new album, and its pretty good, very very experimental in comparison to his first album. Big fusion of jazz, electonica, dance, metal and classical. Must make a nice change for Serj to do something completely different with his talents compared to being system

Remember the way Meteora opened with those two tracks, Intro and Don't Stay, the year they headlined Reading? You could really tell they meant business.

I don't mind it but that said it's nothing like previous stuff and I don't see it going well at DL. Im off to see them in November, I'll see how that goes before deciding if I'd still like to see htem at DL2011

i'll have a listen to this, the snippet sounded strong and it's interesting to see them going in another direction (found minutes to midnight to be treading water).

Not a fan live though, still they were sandwiched inbetween muse and white stripes, they didn't stand a chance lol!
