My music's better than yours

Okay, so there's a pub in Hamilton that's normally an old man-ish pub but on a Monday night they play a 'Mosher' mix and it brings in people who like the heavier kinda music and stuff. They mostly play early 00's Kerrang stuff, nobody's absolute favourite but everyone knows it and has a good time with it.

And it just got me thinking. Granted a lot of folk know each other in the bar but in there everyone was chatting to everyone, something that would be unusual on a normal night. I was thinking then abou festivals and I've always found the heavier festivals like Download and Sonisphere to be the most friendliest. Perhaps a sense of musical solidarity or something?

I've came to the conclusion that people who like heavier music are more friendly than those who like other genres. I've still to conclude if not liking heavier music makes you a c**t deep down inside, but yeah you know what I mean?

Anyone here feel more at home in a certain type of musical atmosphere?

Also, I got a bit drunk last night for next to nothing and I got up at 6am today. Perhaps why I'm posting this.

I have friends who like all kinds of music, and don't tend to analyse any correlation between their music tastes and how friendly they are to others.

There is probably some truth - or there was when I was more of a rocker - that the rock / metal community operate under the dilussion of us and them. So rockers might be more disposed to other rockers, I guess.

here comes neil

any chance we could get some police records? i checked last week and found 5 arrests at sonisphere. 3 which were for immigration offences, so unrelated to the fest i'd imagine.

compare that to the likes of t in the park where we have attempted murders and rapes, and also a fest like latitude.
