No one killed (so far!) surprisingly

and to follow that, a not-yet open pedestrian bridge collapsed today in Delhi, India. The bridge is was from the car parks to the stadium that is hosting the Commonwealth Games, which starts in less than two weeks.

And to add to that, the athlete's accommodation has today been described as unfit for human habitation.

On the topic of H&S (or the lack of it abroad), we had 4 of our management team go out to Benicassim this year to advise the local security teams on how to run the main stage pit.

Some of the stories they came back with makes you kinda glad that we do have strict measures in place at UK festivals (even though we all think H&S is a pain in the arse at times!)

Some examples -

• No water available at the pit to re-hydrate customers

• No earplugs/defenders worn by staff

• No step up pit barrier making it a lot harder to pull people out

• No training to personnel on how to pull out customers and how to spot crowd surges
