sifi
Yeah, Blackmore could make it cry and sing. Is he still doing that batshit crazy 15th century wandering minstrel shit?
The Nal
Yeah, Blackmore could make it cry and sing. Is he still doing that batshit crazy 15th century wandering minstrel shit? Yes. Her name is Candice Night. The band are called Blackmore's Night. I saw an interview before where he said he wanted to live at the bottom of his garden surrounded by the fairies he believes live there. The Nal
similar to how I'd rather see Keith Richards than The Stones, I'd prefer a Pete solo show to a Who one Can you IMAGINE how good a solo acoustic Townshend show would be?! Small venue, Saturday night. Wow. Edited July 19, 2012 by The Nal
When Jokers Attack
I'm going through a big phase of listening to The Who. First time in a while. Quadrophenia has been on repeat the last few evenings. Wonder when Quadrophenia will come to the UK? Need to see them again!

Did you see that "Quadrophenia Can You See The Real Me" documentary on the Beeb (or maybe Sky Arts) there a few weeks ago? Really really good. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3h2ir0PtCgA Edited July 20, 2012 by The Nal

The Nal
Appetite for Destruction. Released 25 years ago this week. The Nal
Greatest rock band ever jamming and coming up with how Black Dog should actually go. Funny how Bonham lead the band with the count ins and suggested beats, timing etc. A Led Zep listening solution always leads to some Roy Harper! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HgCm1MT5hnM Edited July 28, 2012 by The Nal
eFestivals
you should have heard the version of Black Dog - and Whole Lotta Love - that Percy delivered last night. Almost unrecognisable, but still excellent.
MrZigster
Plant with his Band of Joy is easily one of the most musically interesting and enjoyable gigs I have ever attended.

eFestivals
Where? WOMAD (still one of the very best fests going, but don't go telling anyone else they'll all want a piece.) It was his latest project, "Sensational Space Shifters ft Robert Plant". They're much like "Robert Plant and the Strange Sensation" (including some of the same members), but more world-music, and including Justin Adams. He left the stage saying something about them going on tour later this year.

May pencil it in for next year.
