yes I can. i'm not allowed to discuss my job on the internet, or anywhere in public. I'm not even allowed to say where I work. Because I'm not an official spokesperson for the company I work for.

What's so special about Radio 1? It's a business in the public eye. I would have thought it was quite important for someone working there not to tarnish its public reputation.

Which is exactly the situation in my job.

Why? If you can openly speak about your employer in public, great. But since you then represent that employer, surely you need to be a bit tactful? There's a time and place for employment disputes, and I don't think live on air while you're actually doing your job is the time or place.

I'm talking practicalities here by the way - not whether people should have the right to criticise their employers. I'm all in favour of free speech, but sometimes exercising your rights can lead you into aa load of bother.

Depends what rules he has at work I suppose, and how much Radio 1 want to hang onto him.

I am loving oafs attempt to revive the use of 'rat' as an insult. Its like he's gone back even further than his natural home in the 50s, right back to the 1920s.

'you dirty rat'

now all we need is for someone to start using dagnabbit as an exclamation and we can go even further back.

Chris Moyles - the man who rants about his own £12k a week wages but who happily crosses the picket lines of those who earn just that much in a year.

Chris Moyles - the man who rants for half an hour so he can play his own (shared) composition that's his radio bed in the background .... and by doing so makes more than any of us earn in a month.

Those are true facts.

It's a hard life being Chris Moyles.
