It sounds to me like it's a payroll problem.

However, I don't think it's right for him to bang on about it for half an hour live on the air. That's hardly professional, is it? You either do the job, and you handle your personal contractual problems with the appropriate people at the appropriate time, or as you say - you don't go into work until it's sorted out. What you don't do is moan about it to all your customers.

Is the same true for someone earning nearly £10k a week, every week?

Someone with half a brain would realise his privileged position, and that many of those he's ranting to barely get that sort of return for a whole year's work.

It's not like he's deserving of sympathy because of financial hardship.

moyles is most definitely freelance. hence why he can work for channel 4 whereas dominic byrne who is bbc, wasn't allowed to work on gladiators for sky.

I love the Chris Moyles show, I think its funny and entertaining and it gets me to work in a good mood every morning. Im absolutely behind him, if I wasnt paid for 2 months I'd be pissed off too; and why shouldn't be bring it up in show? Most chats on that show revolve around something that's happened to one of the team or something they've seen/read/heard. The first 30 minutes usually has no songs in it, so claiming "he ranted for 30 minutes without EVEN playing a song" is pure sensationalism by the reporters, and is being picked up by people who never listen to the show as an excuse to rant about moyles and/or the bbc, again. yaaawn, play a different tune once in a while.

If you dont like it, dont listen and keep your mouths shut, you have plenty of other choice on the bbc and everywhere else. 10 million people listen to the show so to criticise him or the show just because your tastes are different is completely moot and I dare say he brings in a hell of a lot more money than he costs, so whinging that "bla bla bla its my money paying his wages bla bla bla cry cry whinge moan" is again, moot

Having had a bit of a look at it, you might be right. Half the references I can find seem to suggest he is salaried, and half of them suggest he is working through his own company.

If it is the later, I don't know what the average time to pay an invoice is at the BBC.
