I don't think its been the weakest, that was season 2, that dragged so much and last season had its moments too like the ep where Rick and Governor met to have those 'peace' talks.

I think this season has flew by so far, although ep 6... I can see why they did it, but still it kinda dragged a little.

I loved it, finally something moved fast, without 3 episodes of talking about it. I knew the gov was gonna use that sword before he did it. But yeah, I'd go as far as to say that it was one of the best eps of TWD in recent memory. didnt realise it was the mid season finale until the trailer at the end. pisses me off that, theres no need.

Is Judith really dead? Surely those kids wouldn't have just dumped the baby.

I really enjoyed this episode. The series has picked up steadily and regained my confidence to the point of this week's season break finale, which really was a return to form with major characters buying the farm (thankfully not the dull season 2 farm, as they would have taken several weeks to shuffle off this mortal coil there).

Curiously this series seems to be spending less time with whatsisface hillbilly, I say curiously because basically every woman I know watches TWD goes on about what a hunk he is.

  • 2 weeks later...

In the comix - where do they go next? Is it close enough anymore so the comparison is still possible?

You really want to know?

It finishes at the prison virtually the same, everyone gets split up after the attack.

Rick and Carl end up taking shelter in a nearby house, and Rick passes out leaving Carl to look after him and take on all of the walkers by himself.

If you watch the trailer for part 2 of Season 4 thats out this is clearly going to happen still, In this period the group magically all find each other again on the road and its a bit of a dull period, then they all get back together at the farm which in the comic did not burn down, I wonder how they will play this on TV, but they stay there until Eugene, Abraham and Rosita arrive on the scene, all three characters have been confirmed as turning up in season 4.

Anyway they convince them to leave and in the comics they start travelling to Washington, don't know if they'll do this on TV.

I imagine second half of this season 4 will be that and meeting back up with Carol who will die at the end of this season, thats my guess anyway.

you omitted to mention she's played by Christian Serratos - nice!

Sounds incredibly dull...

I don't think it will be that dull, as I missed out a major storyline plot that runs for a short while in the comics just after what I said, I imagine they'll do this on TV to run out the end of Season 4 and this will be how Carol dies, IMO.

For reference theres been 117 issues of The Walking Dead comic so far, the Prison storyline ends on issue 48. So in 3 and a half seasons they've got to that point. I Imagine the rest of this season will tackle issues 49-66.

And Season 5 will start up around 67 which is the start of the HUGE storyline which is STILL going on now. They;ll be using this for the next 3 seasons at least I imagine.
