I thought that series 4 didn't start too great, but got progressively better as it raced headlong towards the end, the last few episodes were compulsive viewing and series 5 has started in the same vein. I can understand how people could get bogged down in series 2 or 3, but stick with it and there are some great episodes ahead with some of the coolest stuff I've seen in a TV show.

How so? I am interested as I have not read the comics and as they are not using material from them it would be interesting to know what they are dropping

I mean it, you've been warned

OK from memory whilst at the prison, they see a helicopter crash, Rick, Glenn and Michonne go looking for it and say they'll be back before midnight, I believe they are all wearing riot gear from the prison.

At the same time the governor and co head out to the crashed helicopter too, they kill the pilot I believe and take what they want, Rick and co follow their tracks to Woodbury.

They are escorted inside and have their weapons taken away to protect Woodbury, Governor shows them around a bit eventually takes them to where they have the walkers tied up and people fight in between them, this is a scene

Governor takes them to a room and says where you from, they say they're just wandering around looking for somewhere, Gov says he doesn't believe them where they got the suits from, Rick says they just found them, he says you're lying but Rick says he won't tell him shit so Gov says

And cuts Ricks hand off, Rick is left alone in a ward

Glenn and Michonne are taken to seperate rooms for questioning, I can't remember if much happens to Glenn, but Michonne is repeatedly beaten and raped, over and over and so Glenn can hear

Martinez, remember him? Well he turns on Gov, breaks Rick and Co out alongside the doctor from Woodbury and his female assistant, Michonne however will not leave and instead goes looking for Gov.

The rest escape, the doc dies from walkers on the way, the other 4 go to the prison, after a couple days Martinez is gone, he was a spy and Rick hunts him down before he gets back to Woodbury and beats him to death.

Michonne meanwhile, finds Govs room, they fight, she wins knocks him out, he wakes up, she nails his cock to the floor, drills through his body with a power drill, chops his arm off, rapes his ass with a spoon and then uses the spoon to rip his eye out, but Govs men burst in, she sets Penny on him and runs away and escapes back to the Prison, here are the men looking down at Gov

Other stuff that happen in the prison, Carol tries to have a threesome with Rick and Lori, but when she is rejected she shags Hershalls son [who is alive and about 15 in the comic, taking his virginity] she then feeds herself to Walkers as everyone watches including her daughter Sophia [who doesn't die at the farm like on tv]

Tyresse doesn't have a sister in comics but instead its his daughter who gets killed by her boyfriend in a suicide pact that goes wrong and Tyresse beats the boy to death and waits for him to turn then beats the walker to death

Tyresse is MUCH more badass in the comic and kills loads of walkers.

Tyresse is the one who the Gov kills with Michonnes sword instead of Hershall.

Hershall and all his family apart from Maggie all get shot to death by Govs crew

One of Govs people, a woman shots Lori through the back when she is running, holding Judith, it kills both of them and thats how Lori dies in comic and Judith too, when the woman sees shes done this she turns and kills the Gov herself, its a very powerful scene.

As you can see from just these things the comic takes it up an extra nouch, and I might add the swearing, jesus, theres so much swearing its unreal. Especially when you get to post storyline on TV now, what youve read above however multiply it and you'll get whats next in the comics and I really struggle to see how they're gunna pull it off on TV cus its heavy shit.

Regarding the recent episode.

I'm surprised how quick they've gone through that particular story arc. Good move from the writers to split the groups up, should keep the show interesting this season. Another ending that makes you want the next episode immediately.

I've got this strange feeling that this is the point at which the writers take their foot off the gas until the season finale. I sincerely hope I'm wrong.

i don't think they'll take the foot off the gas - my guess it's going to be either Morgan (surely too soon?) or a new character! - fingers crossed.

You may be right, but I don't think it will be, I think that she's gonna need rescuing from whatever predicament she's got herself into - giving us a direction to take the story - I don't think they're leaving for DC just yet.

The characters said they should be fine because they cooked the meat. If they was dealing with a virus this would almost certainly keep them safe. But if its something like BSE which is caused by a protein they would be fucked still.

Be interesting to see if its ever answered. I think it was shit they put it in the story and didn't let it run its course.

We know from Series 1, in the lab, that everyone is infected with the virus, and that death activates it somehow - presumably eating tainted meat would activate the infection like a bite? The activation element is not known and may not be a virus at all.

Edite add: Maybe then Daryl has found someone from Gareth's group that they didn't kill? That will resolve this mystery for us too?

so we need answers to the old adage - "Is Beth in the woods?"

I'm thinking if next week's episode is all flashback then feasibly Daryl has Beth with him.

Beth was my immediate thought TBH. Id say Scottie has hit it on the head and we will get a Flashback episode and then her reveal...........There is no way they are not going to show us what happened when Daryl and Carol went off

I was thinking the crosses on the cars meant they were Saviours - having see the preview for the next episode 'Slabtown' - I realise that's a hospital - so it wasn't Saviours, do we still think we'll see Negan?
