err that bat..... that bat... Glen has a bat

... and they moved to 100 miles from Washington

...and chopped up zombie torsos in a 'W' van

.. imaginary radio chatter on cannibalism, violent attacks on other survivors and mutilation of children and women - instead of the real thing?

...and Wolf Gang graffitti

I think cutting down the cast is a mistake at this moment in time, a lot of characters still need development to become fan faves and the others should be killed off only to make a villain seem more powerful and twisted than ever before. Ever since the cannibals were killed off, the show has struggled for me.

But most characters don't ever get there. At the moment I'm only bothered about Rick, Daryl, Glenn and Maggie and Carol (she bacame an interesting character recently) Abraham has potential so has Michonne. There's too many to focus on now and we get too many bullshit episodes focusing on the likes of Beth who was a crap character.

I noticed the Wolf graffitti and thought it might be important. I'm halfway through book 5 of the hardcovers At the moment in regards to the comic

It also said "wolves - not far" at the beginning

Edit: just seen the next episode preview - oh "WOLVES".

Glad I'm not the only one who thought the latest episode sucked. They spent the whole episode dragging out his death and nothing else actually happened. I enjoyed the first half of the season overall but the show is very inconsistent, every episode is either a hit or a miss.

I'll stick with it for the remainder of this season and hopefully it picks up.

I fell out of love with Dexter, loved it initially, stuck with dodgy seasons much longer than I should have, and ultimately - I said "no more" with one episode left. I have never watched that finale.

That's like me with Sons of anarchy. I gave up watching at the end of season 5. Recently decided to watch 6 and 7 just to see the conclusion and got as far as episode 10 and just couldn't be bothered.

how did nothing happen?

A whole community was blown up, unless they started making a lot of meth!, whoever attacked them had enough hardware to knock holes in walls, they then cut people up removing their torsos, branded them and were shipping them out. Judging by the bodies in Noah's house they were executed rather than turned, cept for his little bro. They appeared to call themselves the 'Wolf Gang'. We heard the radio broascast warnings about nearby - "cannibalism, violent attacks on other survivors and mutilation of children and women" and the group had come a long way all the way to Richmond - 100 miles from Washington.

The flashback sequence at the beginning also included images we've not seen yet - like Maggie crying beside a car. So I'm wondering if the next episode will be part of a pair.

....and Glen found a bat, and Noah got a cut over one eye.

To make something clear, the radio transmissions Tyresse was hearing was a flashback he was having to when all this started to happen, IE the zombie process first starting.

If you recall he says in the episode that his dad used to force him and sasha to listen to the news to hear all the bad things in the world and when this all started happening he forced himself to listen to these things.

When in the van at the end and he says he wants it turned off now, he was giving up and then he died.

The broadcasts had nothing to do with the area they were in at the time.

----

Now people saying they feel the cast needs to be cut down and focus on less characters. Boy you're gunna be disappointed.

VERY disappointed.

I dont think that is something people necessarily want, but they may feel it would be a way to allow the writers and directors produce something that makes the viewer give an actually toss about any of them.

If they can have numerous characters and have the viewer feel emotionally invested in them then all well and good, but thus far they are failing to do this it seems.

It really has been a long time since I personally gave a crap about most of them. As I mentioned before I dont think anyone being killed off would affect me right now with the exception of Daryl.

The last episode was all about a main character's last moments and I could not of cared less about him. I thought some of the things they did to send him on the journey was cool, but and no point was I upset about him dying and that to me is a massive weakness in the show. I should have given a toss about him and I didnt

Watched it again and yeah you are right, but it also fits with whatever happened in Richmond.

Also Maggie crying was from the pre-season break.

Salt's right get ready for a much bigger cast - it's coming atcha like a vampire bat

surprised by people saying they didn't care about Tyreese dying - me and my mate were devastated when watching it. even though it was so obvious that he was going to die from the moment he got bit, we were still clinging on to hope that he'd be saved somehow

agree that there's a lack of characters to care about at the moment - there's no real threat. Rick and Daryl, the only two i really give a shit about now, are obviously gonna live it out until the end. the rest are just cannon fodder. not sure how it goes in the comics, but i feel Glen has run his course in the show. i'm constantly expecting him to die

Daryl aint even in the comics, he was a character created for the show only.

Im surprised there isn't more Michonne love? Or maybe im looking at her through comic book eyes?

she seems to be doing less and less as the show goes on. she hasn't really done anything of note for a while (that i can remember) - kind of pushed to the background to make way for Abraham etc

also, i know a lot of people are predicting Negan to pop up soon (and this latest episode definitely had a few hints from the sounds of it), but i'm sure i read that they're not thinking of introducing him for a long time - somebody even said possibly as far as season 9 (although i'm guessing that's bullshit)

Caring as little as I do, I have started looking at spoilers on TWD wiki, Negan sounds like just what the show needs tbh.

Didn't know that Daryl wasn't in the comics at all until salty said so up there.

Michonne? Always hated her character. Someone who chooses not to talk, when talking and explaining would clear up so much tension, winds me up so much. Which is what I meant about not caring about any of the characters. I simply don't any more. Rick is starting to become a bit more likeable, Daryl is a popular character anyway, and Carol is OK (not to be confused with Coral!)

Season 9? SEASON 9!?

If thats true they can go fuck themselves...............I predict it will die before then and unlike a zombie it aint getting reanimated.

It may still be popular now to justify its existence but that will surely wane if they dont start making it ................well..................better

....so if Negan's that far off - are we likely to go wildly off course (away from the comics) for a while?

I hope so we could do with a longer original story arc. I'm thinking the Ws on the foreheads stand for 'wolves' food for them perhaps?

Whatever it is, it's going to get explained and that's going to be something we didn't see in the comics

more likely we're getting Derek and The Scavengers story arc

I've watched this episode 4 times now = some of the zombies are really, really good - you can't get a better zombie IMHO

it may have just been a red herring to put people off from constantly expecting Negan (because, from the looks of it, a LOT of people are), but i definitely wouldn't expect him to be that far down the line - end of the next season maybe. the guy who was being interviewed (i can't remember who he was) said that there's a lot of story to be told between now and Negan's introduction, although the series could definitely do with another big villain / reason to care rather than them all just bumbling around trying to find somewhere to stay
