CAMDEN CRAWL 2011

The app was rubbish. Cost me £3 and it actually contradicted the advice on the printed timetable I was given on the day that Frankie and the Heartstrings were playing again at the Forum on the Sunday. Unfortunately I went with the app, reasoning that it would be more up to date, and missed out on seeing them as it later transpired that the app was wrong!

Couldn't believe how quiet it was for the lemonheads, Smaller crowds than I saw for Frankie and the heartstrings on the Saturday and the Guillemots. Also first time Ive been in Koko and have to say its a great building. Don't envy you Londoners though with those beer prices.

Good Crawl, I thought Chapman Family, Odd Future, Japanese Voyeurs (I'd highly recommend them) & The Agitator were all really good surprises from bands I've not checked out before. Lethal Bizzle, Pete & The Pirates, Killing Joke, Qemists & King Blues were as good as usual but Cerabal Balzy, S.C.U.M. & Mazes were let downs though and a few more acts I've forgotten about already too. Apart from being over crowded on the outdoor stage for Odd Future there wasn't the usual crowd problems from past years.

I went to see the Bees at Koko in December and a can of cider was £4.50 then.

I had a brothers cider in the earl of Camden. And a seat on one of the sofas. I must be getting old.......

Prices are getting worse, but to be honest I would expect to pay at least 4 quid for a beer anywhere in central London, so Camden isn't unusual!
