some good news from the netweather forum:

"Cracking update in the charts tonight, just take a look that's the best update so far, but there is a long way to go yet"

"I suspect with charts like that the south would be seeing 30c plus with the rest of the UK in the mid to high 20's "

This is for about 21st June.

Aye my concern is if the rain lands before Glasto week and doesn't drain properly off site by the Wednesday, we could have a bit of a mudbath with the grass getting chewed up by all them feets.... Ah well. All good fun. Unless I break my ankle. Again.

No rain & no clud makes for an 'appy Glaston-berry. 

Good point. No need to go overboard, hourly updates will be fine.

I'm still very confident, it is incredibly unlikely that, given the dry spring that enough water could fall to waterlog the site and cause drainage issues. The weather has been very changeable (I still stick to my comparisons with 2008) and to be honest I refuse, point blank to consider anything other than exceptional summer sunshine of the kind that you remember for years (unless you write for the Daily Mail, in which case you would just ignore the present, rewrite the past and lie about the future).

So 7 forecasts issued this week, Sunday, Wednesday and Friday looks rather mixed, Monday looks dry, with Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday looking wet.

In Summary 1 looks dry, 3 look mixed and 3 looking a washout, not that encouraging to be honest.

June has not started as well as you would have hoped, but the experts seem to be suggest that June may start improving in the 2nd half, fingers crossed that is right.

Tomorrow sees GFS come into range, so there will be daily forecasts issued covering at least 2 of the GFS forecasts each day, these will be issues in their own individual thread.

It's still very much "up in the air" so to speak with what the weather is going to do over the next two weeks judging by the netweather forums.

There are a fair few people prediciting that we will have a spell of high pressue towards the end of this month of which some are saying will hang around for a while.

So let's hope this comes in time for the festival and hangs around until we've all packed our tents up!

Fingers crossed the weather models start showing this high pressure moving in over the next few days....
