I just sneezed and farted at the same time and for a split second it gave me the power to see the future. With this newfound power I looked ahead to the festival and I can confirm it is going to be SUNNY AND HOT!!!

Just checked Metcheck for next weeks weather in Wells, they are forecasting winds of 278 miles an hour!!!!!!! if thats the case, Glastonbury wont even be there!!! BBC weather looks OK and Netweather seems pretty c..p, so no longer going to stress, just enjoy this thread for the next 10 days!!!cheers guys :)

metcheck might be rubbish (I'm aware of at least one occasion where it was giving a forecast more in line with jupiter than somerset) but I still can't help but check it on regular intervals, in the vain belief that by doing so it is going to help.

The most sensible thing any of us could do would be to turn off the computer and go do something constructive, however that is not really that likely (at least not for me:p)

so...germans?

If you think we had anything approaching "torrential" rain in 2008, then that must've been your first year. Certainly you can't have been within a hundred miles of Worthy Farm in 2005 or 2007.

2008 we had a bit of light rain for a few hours on Thursday late afternoon / evening. Then basically no notable rain for the rest of the fsestival. Even that tiny amount of water still had a big impact on the site, with grass disappearing rapidly.

I don't appreciate these attempts to justify that any amount of rain is acceptable at Glastonbury. It's not. Ever. Rain plus feet equals Mud. That's just basic science.

NFRNFC.

It does tend to happen with metcheck, see earlier comment about jupiter. I've also seen temperatures reach several hundred centigrade both above and below. Sadly it is about as useful a weather forecasting tool as my toenail. It is, quite obviously therefore, the most frequently visited weather site for me....they might not get it right, but they sure as hell make it interesting.
