fiandbom
I think that there will definitely be some weather at Glastonbury this year, irrespective of what the websites say.

muddyslingbax
What's really weird is that Google Chrome has decided it is one of my most visited pages and, as I now use it as a quick way onto the forum, it is. This is what I see every time I come on here:

William of Walworth
WTF indeed, I did laugh outloud when I logged on, has just made me even more convinced that actually no one knows until a couple of days before, had one heavy shower today on Bodmin Moor, rest of the day great, but supposed to be wet all day by some forecasters! after 25 trips to Glastonbury I go with the what will be will be, and whatever it is, we will all still be going! but keep the thread going, Im reading it just for the laughs now
William of Walworth
If you think we had anything approaching "torrential" rain in 2008, then that must've been your first year. Certainly you can't have been within a hundred miles of Worthy Farm in 2005 or 2007. 2008 we had a bit of light rain for a few hours on Thursday late afternoon / evening. Then basically no notable rain for the rest of the fsestival. Even that tiny amount of water still had a big impact on the site, with grass disappearing rapidly. I don't appreciate these attempts to justify that any amount of rain is acceptable at Glastonbury. It's not. Ever. Rain plus feet equals Mud. That's just basic science. NFRNFC. William of Walworth
Look at that rather robust 1020 mbh High just to the SE of the UK though, then combine that thought with the possibility of that phat Low tracking even slightly more Northwards than shown. We're not completely devoid of hope. Yet ...

devonhammer
JackOne: Based on the overall pattern and on today's charts, and scale scale of 0=dustbowl and 10=washout I would so for a 6, as overall there remains a higher possibility of a damp or wet festival. With perhaps a damp unsettled festival, the likely outcome at the moment. GFS: Rain. TWO: Light showers Dutch:Showers onWed, rain on Thu (that's as far as it goes) Meteo: Pretty much dry until Friday (that's as far as it goes) PositiveWeather Solutions: No update GFS Ensemble: No consistency, but not terrible (but that's what you expect from an ensemble this far out) Met Office: Rain(not a true daily update yet) ECM: Not yet in range Norwegians: Not yet in range Normal caveats apply: 1) I know a bit about weather, not a lot about weather 2) You can't predict the weather with any accuracy for more than three days 3) Based on Point 1, Point 2 might be incorrect Edited June 11, 2011 by devonhammer
