Apologies if this is an ignorant question, but I'm just interested... How long could it theoretically rain for consecutively here in Britain? It's been pissing down for ages here now, almost every day, surely it's got to stop soon!? But yeah, my question is, has there been any sort of record in the past for like 3 solid months of rain or whatever?

Thanks muddyslingbax and Runner

I remember watching England v Algeria in last summers World Cup which was played the Friday before the festival in a pub whilst it thrashed it down with rain outside. (Oxfordshire) - Think it was pretty w*nk weather all round that weekend. It then cleared up and we had the hottest Glastonbury for god knows how long!

Unless it completely tips it down for the next 10 days (which I'm pretty sure it won't) then we should be ok when we arrive on site. I thought the forecast was for the weather to improve next week anyway?

Apparently...

"Kaneohe Ranch, Oahu, Hawaii reported 247 straight days with rain from August 27 1993 to April 30 1994"

I think the mayor at the time was quoted as saying: "f**k this!"

We'll be laughing, I think what we're currently experiencing is the rains death rattle before it finally f**ks off Tuesday.

And not this

Little known fact: John Sullivan, creator of Only Fools and Horses, used to be a set carpenter at the BBC and he helped construct the Singing in the Rain set before his writing talents were recognised.
