Nah I'm sure the two I can think of don't. It always bugs me going out in Hamilton because everyone thinks 'this is the rule, it applies everywhere' and I think 'go to Glasgow, you can go to as neddy a nightclub as the Palace, with much less fights, spend less money and wear comfy trainers'.

i've never been to a neddy club in glasgow so i wouldn't know, i just assumed they'd all be the same with the no trainers thing.

that makes it even more confusing though, if they don't have that rule in glasgow but they do in hamilton.

I've been to Campus and Classrooms before (think they'd be classed as general clubs tho?) and didn;t need them.

We were walking up Sauchiehall Street on our way to Sleazy's one night and the guy from Savvoy asked us if we wanted passes, we made up the excuse that 'nah we don't have shoes on' and he said we didn't need them. That's the only reason I know about the one neddy type club. Don't know about anywhere else so it could be, although if the two are aiming at the same crowd I doubt one would put a restriction up like that.

It's cause the Palace doesn't have competition I'd think.

I've never been turned away from a nightclub because of my shoes but I would avoid those kind of places anyway. My mate was nearly turned away from The Cathouse for being too well dressed.

i imagine the savoy must be awful. i don't know why anyone would go there.

the palace probably think they can keep neds away by making people wear shoes, but it's mostly neds that go to it. i'd only go there if i wanted to get stabbed or battered.

You know those posters you see advertising over 30s nights everywhere? well when i was in my twenties i quite fancied going to places for over 30s when i was single and wanted to meet a slightly older man. I saw one last night and thought to myself you're far too young to go to one of those!

I feel younger now than i did in my twenties.
