The name highest on my hope list: FKA Twigs. Playing DTRH and Opener around Werchter. Patti Smith, Magdalena Bay, JPEGmaffia, Japanese Breakfast, Bright Eyes, Jessica Pratt, Thee Sacred Souls and Caribou would also be Great additions for me. Nine Inch Nails too, but that would be dreaming too much. -
Yeah last year was as bad as I can remember in that regard. Amy Winehouse into Jay-Z was another one that stands out and led to a major crush. Not that I think it was responsible but I remember a few years back Emily saying that they were going to be a lot more dynamic with bookings and if someone took off since being booked, they would shift the stages around to avoid any major issues. In theory that sounds good, but I wonder how well it would go down with an act being booked for a bigger stage (at glastonbury's famously cheap rate) and then downgraded to a smaller stage/slot. They could outright refuse depending on the wording of their contracts etc. meaning glastonbury just has to suck it up and hope for the best -
The worry is the pound falling as rates de-couple. As our rates raise people SHOULD want to hold pounds due to getting a better return. Rates rising on government debt and the pound falling at the same normally signals something is broken. -

Yeah I'm a bit lost and largely ignorant when it comes to the actual reasons for the big fluctuations with the USD although a lot of it depends on the various reports and economic statements on both sides. I believe yesterdays spike was mostly reporting that trump was going to declare an emergency to push through tarrifs or something. Whilst I like to see a strong pound for the most part, I have my salary paid in dollars so I'm a bit of a turncoat where it comes to wanting it to be weak around payday!😂
