My kid won't be wondering the street feral... There is enough examples of shit parenting walking the streets already...

Really? You seem very certain.:lol:

Just as many of the parents have done that have 'feral' kids wandering the streets.

It's not a case of saying it and it will happen. It comes down to your parenting skills, and how well matched those skills are to the needs of your child.

And that's something you simply cannot know right now. Your confidence is misplaced. ;)

If you both share the same goal then the goal cannot be said to be ideological as it's driven by two opposing ideologies. It's that simple Neil.

Yeah, you're of course so right.

Because there's of course no two competing ideologies that contain within them a desire for the same outcome for parts within them both, is there?:lol::lol::lol:

The simple one is you, as ever. :)

Now, what if there's two competing genders? You know, male and female. Are they in fact the same thing too? You seem to believe that they are.:lol::lol:

that's just nasty... plain and simple

While it's not something I'd have been likely to post, it's the case that issues like that are the sort that make the dim double-take on their dimness, and come out the other side a smarter person.

And I don't take ampersands words as wishing ill on anyone, just a statement that's about the effect it would have on oaf if he unexpectedly found himself as the person dealing with an issue like that instead of someone else.

I'll rephrase it with specifics for you.....

If you both believe that the ID card should be scrapped then the goal of scrapping the ID card cannot be said to be ideological as it's driven by two opposing ideologies.

Utter bollocks.

If we work off the reasons I've already posted for Dave Moron and me, then he has the ideology of "the state shouldn't interfere" driving his view, while my own view of it being a waste of money that'll achieve none of its aims could be driven by an ideology which includes being against wastefulness.

Two difference ideologies which result in the same thing, in total contradiction to what you've said.

You either share the ideology that led to that conclusion, which I doubt, or the policy isn't about ideology at all, which seems likely. However, you cannot have the idea of scrapping the ID card being about Tory ideology and you agreeing with it - that is a contradiction.

For the weak minded: see above.

ideological difference has no bearing on wanting to scrap ID cards - both Tory Cameron and Communist you support it.

Understand yet?

Yes, I've understood for a long while that you're a mindless prick. :)

I agree completely, ideological difference has no bearing on wanting to scrap ID cards. If you want to scrap them, then you want to scrap them.

But that's not what you said, is it?

You said that if two people want to scrap them then there can be no ideological difference in why those people want to scrap them.

Which is mad as you are.

Talking of which:

"Over the spending review period environment spending will increase [30%] in real terms. ... But, people will ask, how on earth can spending go UP as the axe comes crashing down across government?

The answer is, very likely, by bumping up energy bills. Electricity and gas bill levies are already set to raise £3bn by 2015, paying for renewable energy and energy efficiency projects. We also think a new £1bn levy will get the go-ahead to pay for carbon capture and storage demonstration plants. Hey presto, a 30% or so rise.
