So i'm going to an over 18's concert

So i'm going to a "strictly over 18's" concert at the Braehead Arena in Glasgow, but I'm only 17 and will be at the time of the concert. How strict will they be? Will I need ID? Will a fake ID be fine? Already got tickets so don't really want to back out now.

Any input appreciated cheers.

i didnt get into the cribs when i was 17. had a mates ID aswell but they didnt believe it was me. travelled a long time to get there aswell and my mate had to go on her own! was so gutted! luckily glasvegas happened to be playing down the road on the same night, but i still lost money and felt like a loner at a gig on my own haha

but that was at the ritz in manchester which is a club.

Is it done this way to basically make it easy at the bars? If everyone is over 18 then noone has to faff with ID checking there?

I'm hoping to get someone elses ID who looks a bit like me just to borrow.. but they're 22... hmm..

How well do they actually check them? I mean are they just gonna scan over it or is it pretty thorough?

I used to occassionally get in to over 18 events when I was younger( which is weird because I still look 12) and when I saw soulwax they weren't IDing anyone then. However I reccomend just using one of your mates who is 18 old passport or something, worked like a charm for me for 2 years.

Everyone is different, depends on how strict they are being.

Certainly using ID for someone who is 22 being carried by someone who looks 17 would make me give it a good look and ask further questions (am a door supervisor)

What ID are you planning on using?

Remember that it is illegal to present ID under false pretence and you (or the ID) can be handed over to the police. And it being a dance event, there will be a high police presence at the entrances.
