DannyH
So i'm going to a "strictly over 18's" concert at the Braehead Arena in Glasgow, but I'm only 17 and will be at the time of the concert. How strict will they be? Will I need ID? Will a fake ID be fine? Already got tickets so don't really want to back out now. Any input appreciated cheers. rexclark
I don't think there is an age limit for the WWE Smackdown tour, I'm sure you'll be fine.

gemstarrr
i didnt get into the cribs when i was 17. had a mates ID aswell but they didnt believe it was me. travelled a long time to get there aswell and my mate had to go on her own! was so gutted! luckily glasvegas happened to be playing down the road on the same night, but i still lost money and felt like a loner at a gig on my own haha but that was at the ritz in manchester which is a club. Paul ™
Club nights, everyone will be ID'd.. no chance tbh.. unless you look well over 18 Only ID accepted these days is Passport/Driving Licence or PASS certified ID (even that is becoming rarer)

LusciousLucy
Is it done this way to basically make it easy at the bars? If everyone is over 18 then noone has to faff with ID checking there?

fraser_k
Is it a Colours promoted event? If it is then it will be everyone getting id'd like at Coloursfest (never been, but lots of people do go from around here), is there not someone elses id you can get that is 18 cause they don't really check them that well? Paul ™
Think it's AEG that are promoting it, but its the same security... Anyway whats the seated tickets all about?

DannyH
I'm hoping to get someone elses ID who looks a bit like me just to borrow.. but they're 22... hmm.. How well do they actually check them? I mean are they just gonna scan over it or is it pretty thorough?

rachbon
i've never been ID'd, or seen anyone else getting ID'd at a gig. you might aswell just go, but don't take fake ID! that will draw more attention to you and you could end up getting in bother. lifelessfool
I used to occassionally get in to over 18 events when I was younger( which is weird because I still look 12) and when I saw soulwax they weren't IDing anyone then. However I reccomend just using one of your mates who is 18 old passport or something, worked like a charm for me for 2 years.
DannyH
Everyone is different, depends on how strict they are being. Certainly using ID for someone who is 22 being carried by someone who looks 17 would make me give it a good look and ask further questions (am a door supervisor) What ID are you planning on using? Remember that it is illegal to present ID under false pretence and you (or the ID) can be handed over to the police. And it being a dance event, there will be a high police presence at the entrances. Greeny_Musicchild
Years ago having the ticket for a gig here was seen as good enough but things have changed. Definitely worth a go though, worst case scenario is that you don't get in.
