America seems to be almost on the verge of civil war at the moment. I was watching an item on Fox News (you have to know the enmy... ) about this, with the presenters almost frothing at the mouth. The cretinous Breakfst Clubs, the sheer horror of anything remotely socialist happening to them, etc... .the country seems split right down the middle, with those on the right unable to contain themselves with genuine horror and fear....

Interesting to see how this is going to pan out

What fascinates me more than anything else is the nature of these propositions where people make decisions thembselves. That's real democracy - people vote on whether they should legalise drugs, have gay weddings - a real plebiscite. Can't see that happening here!

Yes, like decriminalising cannabis in the US. We pay folk to make informed decisions on the subject. I dunno if its an issue to you but it isnt to me and as a result I don't bother looking into why or wghy it shouldnt be decriminalised. I shouldnt be given a vote on the subject.

Theres such a huge amount of it being grown for medicinal purposes now anyway in California, a lot of it is “leaking out” to the public so its basically as available as possible without being strictly legal.

And after all, the Governor is a fan of the odd spliff!

Having a small amount of weed in California now is legally the same as a traffic ticket. Only a matter of time before they legalise it I reckon.
