Foo Fighters announced today playing Milton Keynes Bowl next summer

Playing Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd July

Id say that seriously dents the chance of them headlining download, BUT to announce so early, I reckon it TOTALLY means they're headlining UK fest as well and they want this to sell out long before that/those fest are announced, but either way they're in the UK next year :D

Main support by the way is Biffy Clyro

Sat support is Death Cab for Cutie, Sunday support is Jimmy Eat World

efests has added Foo Fighters only today as a rumour for both IOW and Download

Isle of Wight has shared plenty of headliners

In the past two years alone

2010 Jay Z - also did Wireless, TITP, Oxegen

2010 The Strokes - also did Rockness [same weekend]

2010 Paul McCartney - also did Hard Rock Calling

2009 The Prodigy - also did Download [same weekend], Rockness [same weekend], Reading and Leeds, Global Gathering,

The Prodigy one really sticks out as they headlined main stage at IOW Friday, headlined second stage at Download Saturday then headlined main stage at Rockness Sunday
