All I am saying after I've heard the inside scoop Download is going to be THE fest this year.

PMSL - I'm guessing that that's come from another of your ultra-reliable sources?:lol:

For those who aren't aware how the music press works in this country - and bearing in mind that OKB has been saying his amazing source works for a music mag, which is how he's come to know these things - it's worth remembering that there's no one in the press with an early scoop on these things. Promoters do their utmost to ensure the press don't get to know, and while the occasional journo might find out one way or another, the job is usually so well done that it's led in the past to the likes of Kerrang making a wrong Download announcement on the day of the official announcement, because they published what their 'sources' had told them rather than what the press release said.

As it happens, the publication with the best record for getting these things right prior to an official announcement is this one, eFestivals. But even we struggle to get a handle on anything this early, not because we lack sources but because there's very little ever in place at this time of year.

Ok guys, I just rang my source/mate and asked him directly about this twitter thing,

he told me and I quote

"Believe me mate I got told they were comfirmed from the man who booked them himself, however in the last 2 weeks various things have changed and they had to pull out for having a higher paid job elsewhere"

Yeah, the mega-bands are always f**king over the few bookers who are able to come thru with mega-bucks deals, it doesn't ever effect them into the future, that shafted promoter will be back to book them for an even huger sum next week.:lol::lol::lol:

There's a reason why bands get to the level they do that gets them these megabuck deals, and it certainly isn't anything to do with a lack of professionalism.

Move along folks - there's very definitely nothing to see here, nothing to see at all.

Bands have to cancel all the time for various reasons. MCR and Greenday cancelled R+L last year. Also bookers don't mind getting messed about this early before a gig/fest. Guns N Roses messed R+L about and got booked again for last year.

Is your motto "when in a hole keep digging"?:lol::lol:

From what you've posted there I know with 100% certainty that all you have is completely wrong bollocks.

If you'd like to keep on proving to me just how far out of the loop you really are (which is of course "out of it entirely") just keep on posting. :)

Maybe, just maybe he's backed up his not having a clue himself from the rumors page by saying earlier than not enough would be in process by this point for anything like that.

And he has put bands on the rumors page with just an R, everyone knows all that means is a grapevine hearing and nothing serious.

Well I tihnk it's hilarious how you think I'm totally wrong but judging by the rumours page you don't have a clue yourself.

So you don't have 100% certainty

For next year, you're right, we don't yet have any info - but we rarely do this time of year anyway, often because there is no info anyway, cos no one has been booked.

But what you said and my reply wasn't to do with next year. You said Green Day we booked and withdrew, yet they were never booked or going to be booked. So it would be very clever for them to withdraw.
