jump
So you would say the foos were obvious for download on the 3rd of November? They hadn't been announced for isle of wight at that time, and download still had not announced. He said he'd asked his mate(contact) if the foos were playing r&l, he then said his contact told him no but they are booked for download. Someone then asked him about ozzy and maiden for download and he mistakenly thought they'd asked about r&l which he denied that either had been asked for. So your saying you will ridicule people before they have a proven track redord. Remember keese had to make a first prediction sometime. I bet it was the same for him back then. kev1664
I'm not ridiculing him, I find it strange that people are taking him seriously with it's almost certain he's bullshitting.
jump
You didn't answer the top bit? There isn't that many people believing him, more are knocking him. I'm neither at the minute if the foos at download does come off I'll have more confidence. But its not announced for a while. Would you said the Foo's were a certainty on the 3rd of Novemeber, and they still are a certainty now?
kev1664
I ignored it as he's most likely using common speculation, he's making safe guess on the pretence of defiently knowing. A lot of people herd of Foo's rumour at the time and combined it with them playing MK bowl to rule them out Reading and before the 3/11/10 they had already said they were playing massive festivals. jump
I can't see for any reason why he would do that he has nothing to gain from it. He could have easily posted on the 2011 thread that he didn't think they would play r&l due to the circumstantial eveidence. The foos shows were closer to t and oxegen than download so he coulda put them two together and predicted those but didn't he have info on a show a month beforehand to the mk gigs. He thought it to be useful and valuable information to everyone that he would share that's why he started a new thread. He was probably excited at the news(if true). I'd probably do the same if I was in the know. Edited November 18, 2010 by jump
Paul ™
Could be playing Sonisphere now, since they have moved the date to the beginning of July
kev1664
Yet every year there's always someone who claims to know and know shit. It'd be a tad more convincing if he knew they were playing both Download and Isle Of Wright but didn't and it seems strange though that he can't leak the headliners to Reading but will for Oxygen & Download. OKB
Ok, I know theres a lot of doubt over my sources and my trust whatever, I don't give a shit. But for all you doubters. MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE. There you go. Headlining.

OKB
Thanks for the insight. Like I say, untill the line up hite then I'll take everything with a pinch of salt, but I won't dismiss you. I'm sure people will just say thats a safe guess and won't give you credit if you are right, but for me so far I can't see any reason why you would lie (unless you are a troll and turn out to be a total knobend, but like I say I wont judge until I know for certain. Role Model
So you're saying MCR 'contract been done and dusted'? If true, yelp.
kev1664
Any insight Niel? Would your contacts be able to clarify?
Dan R
MCR are headlining. Its been pretty much expected since March when they were booked to headline 2010 but the drummer left. Add a new album thats supposed to appeal to the masses and NME doing alot of press on them, they're nailed on. Foo's are nailed on for Download and probably Glasto aswell. Dave The Hedgehog
I've got a headliner. Just hot off the press. My sources - who are, like, the next best thing to GOD or Bono - have sent me an email telling me that Joy Division have reformed. I say it because it's true. It's a fact. A scientific fact. There's no real proof of it; there is no way I can back it up - but it's a fact.
jump
With everyone too scared to openly state their sources I think it's a matter of trust and we need to start trusting each with our sources so I'll be the first and name mine in hope everyone else will follow... Benj
OKB I know you can't defo confirm yes or no but is this posted lineup along the lines or just fake? http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=260085&o=all&op=1&view=all&subj=112182225507001&id=100000946959954#!/photo.php?pid=260085&o=all&op=1&view=all&subj=112182225507001&id=100000946959954

swede
Tbf it was more of a strong rumour that they were down to headline 2010, they were never a certainty And it's not so much a question of whether or not they play, more whether or not they headline And by the sounds of it FF's are 'nailed on' virtually everywhere Currently everyone seems to expect them to be at TitP, Oxegen, Glastonbury, Download and obviously IoW I know they're big but there's no way they'd do all them
Vieuphoria
i think they could. 1 isn't in the UK, 1 isn't in England, 1 won't offer much money. So technically they are only really going to get paid for 2 English festival if they were to do it?
jump
I though the Glasto rumour for Foo's was gone now and the line is pretty much U2, Coldplay & Prince anyway.
