Liam13th
IMO, the best campsite is anywhere that you cannot hear la roux performing on stage. That is all.
clarebear86
lol that would probably be my idea of the best campsite also lol Edited March 2, 2011 by clarebear86
Paadzer
Park Home Ground is the only one for me now (near the bottom). I can walk to the Park and Other Stage easily and my friends stall. Tried others but walking up a hill is not for me and camping anywhere near the Pyramid (that I don't go to often) was awful as I had to fight through massive crowds to get anywhere and it was too far from most places I spend time at during the festival just to pop back and get something from my tent quickly. Paul ™
There is no 'best' campsite
G1T
Backstage camping is best for me. As a worker who does several all nighters in the bar and spends time off at the public stages, its essential to get a bit of relative comfort. We're still as squashed in as the 'muggles' and its just that there are far less passers by and gererally everyone is on quite good behaviour. If you spoil things for others, you wont get your job next year.
Bobs
my favourite is Oxylers, close to the JPT, Other Stage, and facilities like security, toilets and lock ups, i got hauled over 4 times last summer, cause people thought i was knicking out of tents, even though it was my own ahahahahaha! that's how good oxylers is. scappaflow
I will be aiming for the bottom of Pennards. Handy for the Other stage, not too far from central attractions and Pyramid stage. Got there midmorning in 09 and it was empty. Last year, got there at the same time and pretty much the whole site was packed. Don't want to leave anything to chance this year, so I will drag my group, kicking and screaming to Glasto for 4am!!
