That's what I do most nights. Stay at home I mean bit make Xmas decs. Mostly I don't mind. But it is nice to see people. I need to get out more just so I don't become a hermit.

compulsory as in the fact that the whole party were joining in, it's a fun icebreaker for people who dont know each other. i'm not going to be the party pooper sitting on my own in the corner watching everyone play and have a laugh!

and also you cant exactly join in a game then back out if you're unlucky enough to get the worse punishment, i would have joined in with the chanting of 'down it' if someone else had got it.

I think the problem is double standards. If Markee came on saying he got blind drunk and slept with some girl who it turns out is in love with him everyone would slate him because he's Markee. In this day and age people should be able to do what they want with who they want as long as they're careful but doing it at the expense of the other persons feelings is a bit wrong. I'm pretty sure you would perhaps notice if someone was in love with you like that guy said he was.

The problem now is most men don't take rejection too well and although it seemed like an innocent drunken fumble it clearly meant alot more to him. I'd just hope he's a decent guy and not the type who'll go around calling you all sorts because you've told him nothing's happening.

Markee gets slated for the way he seems to treat and talk about girls, not because 'he's Markee'. The only double standard is the difference in reaction [normally from girls] that boys and girls get if they doink around.

Aye, he definately does sound slightly emotionally retarded but if he did actually love her surely you'd notice? Kind of reminds me of that film Rules Of Attraction with James Van Der Beek. He was blind to the fact the girl loved him, then she topped herself. Let's just hope this fella hasn't seen that particular movie.

As for double standards, sadly thats the way it is. Girls do get treated worse when the sleep around. It isn't fair. But you have to ask yourself, what would the reaction be if one of The girls on here really liked a guy, finally slept with him then were basically dumped the next day and seen as a mistake. They'd be raging and would be straight on here to say how pissed off they were.

i didn't say i needed to drink to have a good time. i have had sober nights out i have enjoyed. however, i'm not going to lie i do enjoy a drink and in this situation, at a party with lots of people i dont know i do like a drink to help increase my confidence. theres nothing wrong with that!

It is a bit frightening to get an unexpected declaration of love via text after a shag though I'd imagine, real or not.

gemstarr- I don't think it's the drinking itself people were moaning at you for but the implication you were no longer responsible for yourself as you had to get shit faced. Why not just get less shit faced if you don't want to? No-one gives a f**k if you say no to a drink on the grounds you'll vomit or suchlike. If they do object they're a twat.
