Shrewsbury Folk Festival

Hi all

I have never been to Shrewsbury Folk festival, as I have always thought that it was more of a sit down festival. Can anyone tell me if this is the case. I love the oysterband, show of hands etc, but seeing them sat down on chairs really is not my cup of tea. I like to dance!!

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Main marquee, where all the main bands are has a large mosh pit in front of the stage (1000 people maybe a little more) with seats behind that; the main stage is a good height of around 6 feet, so it feels like a proper outdoor concert.

The second and third marquees have seats, plus there's an open air stage in the centre of the festival that has bands and other things on there. So, it's certainly not all seated, and for the main acts you could easily be standing in a relatively busy mosh pit.
