Swedish House Mafia have announced a 2011 UK tour, with the first date being Barrowlands on 26th May

Extremly excited, but isnt this date suspiciously close to Rockness?

Going to both SHM + Deadmau5, but unfortunately I'm underage, so im trying not to get too excited incase I get a knock back. Was suprised to hear about Swedish House Mafia being 18+, didnt reliase the Barrowlands would host such an event. Anyone know if they are strict?

Not sure what the barras is like for checking age but they r pretty strict (metal detectors at the door etc)

I saw them both in Ibiza in September. Could take them or leave them at RockNess. My only worry about DeadMau5 is a lot of tiesto fans seem to love the Mau5 also

Swedish house mafia are Guetta waiting to happen, as is Deadmau5.

They're already making top 40 pish in my opinion, but each to their own.

I'd still take Deadmau5 at Rockness though, seemly his live show is great.

Its insane that DJ's like Angello, Axwell, Ingrosso, Tiesto and Guetta can not only sell out clubs but major concert venues so fast. They are all average DJ's at best who produce chart fodder pop music, some of the guff they have been releasing has been woeful. Deadmau5 isnt much better. If they are any sort of benchmark for dancemusic thesedays then it really is in a bad place. If any of them were playing a festival I was at i'd ensure I was as far away from them as possible.
