Me and the missus will be waiting until March as well now. We talked about it last night but because of the rumours and uncertainty we figured we'd rather go with a festival where we could guarantee the bands were to our taste.

We're probably going for Latitude tickets in the pre-sale though, just because we're curious about that place adn we'd like to save a bit of money before the prices go up. If the headliners are really shit next year we won't be going and we might check out another festival instead of Leeds - maybe ATP. I've considered Download too because it is pretty much 15 minutes walking distance up the road but I doubt she'd enjoy it.

To be fair, last year I remember it being roughly the same sort of thing on here. Nobody on here really had a clue - in fact, the same bands being chucked around now are the same bands being chucked around last year in March whenever I joined up. The only band I think anybody on here nailed was Blink 182.

VAT will only add 2.5%, less than a fiver to the price, anyone with any reservations should not buy early, simply to save 5 pounds.

Is this how theyre selling it, that they're doing us all a favour?! What utter balls, its imply an excuse for them to get cash in the bank far earlier than usual.

And its last years prices so it'll be more like a saving of £15. Cus they'll probably be a price hike

Download have said we should be pleasently surprised with the prices when they're announced on Monday, can't see them being cheaper than last year, the hike last year was crazy. I brought earlybird for 2009 and it was like £135, then last year I had to pay like £175!

Of course they will. Everywhere will do it. Just like when they reduced VAT to 15% no prices changed, but when it went back up to 17.5% everything went up. It's a con. My local put prices up by 10p a pint (and I bet they'll do it again) even though it should only be about 5p.

I'm pretty sure I'll be going to Leeds next year but I won't be buying a ticket until March. I would be tempted to get a ticket just now but I've already got Rockness and Glastonbury deposits booked so can't really afford any more festival tickets before Christmas.

I don't understand why people buy tickets now or in march anyway? Last two years running it's been the same, far too many people think they can tout, flood the market, two days before the festival in excess of 500 tickets on ebay, pick them up cheap. Only tickets that were expensive this year were blink day tickets due to the reunion factor.
